I have seen a A64 ADA3000 AEP4AX CBASC 0406UPMW in action It did 2600 pifast stable @ 1.67 v



Tis @ Boxed cooling. But pifast woud only run 1 time. 2550 was no problem. The cpu could do more when he is gonna use beter cooling. Maybe a 3.0 @ Prom M II GT ?

Firstly, hi guys. Been browsing here for a long time and finally decided to drop in from OCAU

Un-modded AN50R, so ram is at 5:6, but I am trying to get some BH-5 and do some mods soon to the board, so fingers crossed Cooled with an LS.

For info, the mutliplier is at default (11) so with some good ram, vmods, and a drop of the multi should prove to provide some fun results I was thinking of dropping the ram ratio right down and push this chip just to see what I can max the cpu at

Yep, vmods are next on the cards The way I see it, if I get the chip to that speed on default voltage @1.68, it should go further around 1.8

I have the trimpoits sodlered up, just gotta get the guts to solder to the board now. Got an old dead 8RDA+ here I will be practicing on

My second 3400+ is very bad
2.8GHz at 1.75v unstable
2.84 at 1.8v or 1.9v

Boogtop yup nice chip you got there. I am facing similar results with my CAAOC TMPW err something like that. 2.75ghz @ 1.7v stock mach2. These chips seem to be doing very well

i got strange thing with this chip...i can't get it prime stable at 2.6ghz but i can run SuperPI and 3dmark around 2.85-2.9ghz

it's look like at any speed over 2.6ghz he are unstable in some prog like Prime and Pifast but he is 3d benchable at 2.9ghz

max stable:

Prime95: 2.55ghz@1.65v
Pifast: 2.6ghz @1.7v
SuperPI 1M: 2.85ghz@1.85v
3dmark01:2.9ghz@1.85v

With stock cooler and fan / tim, SuperPI runs through 2508MHz

Im going to throw it under R404 modded Mach2, as soon I get Mach2 socket 754 cpu-kit. My reseller had none left of them

I 've the same proc and only 2850MHz in bench at 1.8-1.85v
2710 at 1.67v

Funny but it looks exactly like Boogotop's 3400+. I haven't been able to run it yet, as I am still waiting for my K8Npro to come in. Should be up by tommorow. I am looking forward to some AMD goodness! It's been a while oh green one!

my an50r is detected in Biostar K8NHA Pro and all the timings are available

no problem to boot in cas2.5 with my kingston HyperX PC3200!!!!!

i think with the best reglage of my phase change i could pi at 2880/2900 :/

so I been toying around with this chip. I had 250X10 last night prime stable at 1.7v but this morning I could not boot windows. I Had to bump down to 245x10 in order to load windows. Looks like I need the vcore mod. What do you guy's suggest as a 'safe' vcore range for a watercooled 3200+.

Also I had some real problems running 2x512 of bh-5. Wouldn't overclock even to 205. 2x512 of pc3200 OCZ EB worked well, but I cannot manually change the timings or the system will hang on POST. Only in nvidia system utility will the timings change.

So I am gonna now see how low I can get this vcore at 245. Not much I think but it's worth a shot.

After reading this thread I decided to buy A64 3200+ (moving from 2.4c @ 3.6)
So, what is the best stepping for this CPU?

One more question:
Should I go for the GA-K8N Pro or AN50R?
