Yeah it has something to do with banks right? Cant remember computer class training that I never use... Oh and gig packs of khx-3000 from zipzoomfly are almost always BH-5 with the original winbound labeling on the chips.

Can anybody confirm this? Would it be worth spending $20 more ordering from ZipZoomFly instead of shop.kingston? And what about newegg? Share results pleaseOriginally posted by aoc007

I heard ordering gig packs of khx3000 from shop.kingston almost gaurantees that you will not get BH-5 and Ive heard lots of people getting BH-5 labeled chips when ordering gig packs of khx3000 from zipzoomfly so Id say thats your best bet. But mine didnt clock too high, I havnt found the max but 2-2-2-5 200/400ddr @ 2.78volts on my IC7-G isnt perfectly stable...

Thats strange. with 2.8v you should at least get them to around 215-220. Time for a mod!
Under Construction....
I just got 2x512 KHX3000K2 from ZipZoomFly. They are DS, so they dont clock well at all with CPC on, although with it off I have gotten mine to 240mhz stable (Prime for 9 hours before error)
I am contemplating buying 2x256 of KHX3000K2 from ZipZoomFly, for some SS action, but I would like some confirmation of SS on the 2x256 from ZZF.
Heres my Ram:
Athlon XP-M 2600+ @ 240x11, 1.825v
DFI Infinity @ 1.7VDD
KHX3000K2 2x512 @ 2-2-2-11, 3.2v
Radeon 9800Pro 128MB
SLK-900A + TT SmartFan 2
Hmm theres no mod that could make them run high clocks at those timings with that voltage right? From what Ive been reading thats about an average oc from those sticks, lots of people dont hit higher than that. Maybe Ill rma the sticks or volt mod the board.

Sorry for n00bness but what is CPC? I don't see it in my mobo BIOS anywhere...
yes we definitely need a running poll on who is shipping pc3000 BH-5s'. I have a gig coming from Newegg and I'll update everyone as soon as I receive them.
No wonder, I am an AMD manOriginally posted by gouda96
I think it has something to do with pat. Some sort of memory thing...having it on should give yield a marginal increase in performance.
All 3000 I have heard of from newegg lately has been bh-5, and that has been for quite a while. You could always go for the 3200, I am pretty sure that is only bh-5, and it is almost the exact same price...if you wanted even more assurance.
KHX3200AK2 costs around the same but it has CH-5 chips. ZipZoomFly has KHX3200K2 (note non-A) guaranteed BH-5 and it costs $350 for 2x512MB.
I don't know man...I've been hearing a lot of people getting crap KHX PC3000 from shop.kingston. uwackme is one of them I think. It may be just me but I've been hearing better results from people who bought from Newegg and ZipZoomFly. So IMHO direct from Kingston = more chance of CH-5. I still don't know if a better probability is worth $215 over $194 :-/Originally posted by gouda96
I would imagine there is a 99% chance that the 3000 coming from kingston is bh-5. Don't know for sure though
CPC = Command per clock

KHX3000 is awesome. Most all of it is BH-5. The only problem is that SOME mobo's DON'T like doublesided BH-5, like the NF7-S. On an easy mobo like IC7-g I've hit 261 at only 3.28v...

No other AMD nF2 boards (that I am aware of) support changing CPC through the bios.
nF7 with one of tictac's bios's may..
All along the watchtower the watchmen watch the eternal return.
My double-sided KHX3000 256MB sticks worked well with my last NF7. Could bench at 235-240 2-2-2-5 DC with only 2,95v.Originally posted by charlie

Not very old board... NB from 0347 and SB from 0348.
Yes, the sticks are ok.
That's only for benching though... had to go down quite a bit to be memtest stable.
And BTW, AFAIK none of Tictac's NF7 bioses have the option to disable CPC, at least not yet.
