    Highest %-overclock?

    Hi!
Im wondering what your overclocking records are in percent. What processors/mobos etc were u using?

    My record:
    Duron 600@1521MHz vcore 2,75V
    Mobo: Abit KT7A V-modded
    Ram: Twinmos pc-166
Powersupply: 2x300W serverPSU + enermax 431W which were hooked up to the mobo with y-connector
    Cooling: LN2

This was done last year for the swedish overclocking championship which me and a friend won. Gonna compete this year also and im interested in what a celeron 266/566 would do.

Edit: I might add that the CPU died when we crossed 3V. The cpu did 1000MHz stable on air with a fop32-1. Around 1200MHz with watercooling.

There are some 2.4's here that do 4300+ but its not near the same overclock % wise as that 600 @ 1500....

Yeah the competition is %-wise thats why im especially interested in a celeron 566 or duron 600. With a good mobo id reckon 200% with the 566 is feasible. Btw, what are the lowest speed of the durons? I think i remember there being some duron 550:s for a while. Now one of those would be a killer i think.

Celeron 300s at 750 are pretty impressive too.

Yes, hmm, a celeron 266 which has no L2-cache and lower speed than the celeron 300 should be able to get higher. Only problem is that its hard to get celeron 266:s. But 300A:s shouldnt be a problem. Another problem though is to get a good mobo with a 1/5 or 1/6 divider. 50MHz on pci isnt very tempting :/

I've got a cache-less 266 around somewhere.. gonna take a while to dig it up, though... and my Abit BE6-II is dead 8-(

    33mhz@247mhz thats a 748% oc

    http://totl.net/Eunuch/Eunuch2.html

    a 750% oc on a 1700+ would mean 11ghz...

JC old CPU that he got to 3.1 ghz...

    3.2 (14x230) under dry ice.
I have no idea of the percentage.

    1.47 to 3.2 ghz= what?

    3.2/1.47 X 100 == 218% (rounded) - a 118% overclock

    hi,
i win the overclocking championship in hannover/germany.
more pics and info here on my page
i clocked a mobile celeron northwood to 100%, this was enough to win.
    - epox 4gea ; i845GE
    - 300w psu ; hec300 lr-pt
    - corsair xms 3500C2 ; running only ddr400
    - modded box-cooler from 3.06 (thermistor removing, lapping...)
    - celi has no ihs, add a plate under the socket to hold the board flat for good hs-contact.
    - vcore at 1,65v
    - the rig running all days seti with this speed.
    - ... nothing special

my epox 4pea800 made a cleaner vcore an i can run the chip up to 100mhz faster (3100mhz).

50MHz PCI is possible, my Barracuda IV can do it at ata100 , if the hd don't like highfsb you can allways lower to ata33 or pio-4 should help some.
But finding a mobo, memory that can do 200MHz FSB? That's harder and can a old mobo do that without turboPLL?

Much be hard finding both Duron 600 or celeron 300 though and a good slot 1 board that gotta be hard to find. How do you plan to do that? I dont think blocket is gonna help

    Good luck.

Nice celeron overclock, 100% on air is pretty impressive.

i like this one, cuz not only is he getting a 95% oc, also getting the 95% performanfce. Dont get me wrong that 100% oc of celery is nice, actually very nice, but its still just a celery!

but this mobile has 256kb L2 cache.
    @ 3100mhz need 2:30 for a seti bench-wu (angle 0.416) here my list
the performance ist not really bad, the desktop cely with 128kb need much longer
i have a second c4m running 2000 @ 3300. im looking for an i865/i875 board but no luck yet.
when it all together, i made some benchis... sure with "aha"-effect.
