    OCZ ddr booster inital impressions

    So I got my booster today. I have to say this piece is a work of art. I disconnected ground on the vddr mod on my K8NSpro to test, and popped the booster in, connected the cables, and was off and running. Had it up to 3.5v briefly for testing, but I had my EB in so I turned it back down. What's great is the booster's vdimm is independant of the +3.3v rail. On the K8NSpro I had to run a +3.3 of +3.6v just to get 3.2vddr. I turned my +3.3v rail down to 3.4v and I had the booster running at 3.3vddr when set to 3.3vddr Too cool.

    I had to work late tonight so not much time to test, but I have some more time tommorow so will throw in my bh-5 and any other ram's I have lying around see how high I can get the voltage up. Now it's getting late, and can't make to much noise!

    Looking good =) When does these reach the public market?

    An alternative to put a vdimm mod on my board. Damn these NF7-S, only 2,9vdimm!

    Ok here is my first run

    Asus P4C800-DLX rev 2
    OCZ pc3200 plat ltd edition (bh-6) 2x256MB
    2.4C w/ stock cooler
    9800pro
    Enermax 651W psu
    Vdimm set at 3.3V through booster and vdimm in bios at auto.
    Timings are 2-2-2-6-8-64T-64uSec PAT On- Turbo on

    Tested 20mins of memtest 86+

    No I have to find a way to read the voltage with a DMM off the booster first. Guess I just have to poke at the fet legs till I find the right one.

    yes, and I suggest everyone doing it to a multimeter. Bios settings can be way off.

    try pin one of an open dim slot to ground with the meter/

    I adjusted the LED and now it reads the correct voltages. I checked with my DMM on both the motherboard and booster mosfets and they read within 0.05V of each other. Time to try out some AMD boards now

    Why is that kept as a secret?
    i cant see why noone is posting where they are getting theirs from...ffs this is even worse than finding an X800XT...

    sooner or later everyone is gonna have one who doesnt like Vmodding...whats the difference?So stop acting like kids...:p

    Personally i aint bothered cos i got the OCZ powerstream psu and i do my own Vdimm mods etc..but others would really like this booster...

    Sayaa i think he should start suspending anyone who doesnt post where he is sourcing this gismo from
