    2.4A Prescott = 4ghz on air?

I saw at VR-Zone that they have this 2.4A Prescott and it did 3.6ghz @ 1.4v and did 4ghz on air with standard cooler. It is the new D-1 stepping they sayed. This is the 533mhz bus no HT and is around 150 bucks at newegg. Looked nice to me anyone else gunna try one?

    In stock @ newegg, $153 200fsb 18x multiplier, is P4 3600.

This seems like a nice chip for the price if it will even only make it to 200fsb.

Sold, i just ordered one to play with. I've got a 2.8 celeron in a rig that needs upgrading. Shuttle rig.

    ...

This is why I love this forum soooooo much more than ocforums.com...I posted a thread about the 2.4a presscott, and all I got over there is "it obviously sucks, because I know it does" and then they asked "what is better amd or intel, and what is the best..." I think I am done posting there...

here everyone gets excited about new hardware, and is curious, especially about weird things like a 2.4a presscott. Nobody just spouts off random junk when they have nothing to back it up with.

I am realy looking forward to seeing how this proc actually does. It would be realy cool if it clocked that high, and I would love to see some performance benches.

Well there are some that like to go on ranting and raving about certain sockets, cpus, and video cards scoring certain amounts in 3DMark in the near future...but I won't name any names.

They're doing okay - but the benchies show that they're not worth upgrading if you have a solid Prescott.

I thought that was the multi that the 533 2.4's had?

What is that superpi time, I can't see it.

What temps was that thing putting out? If you can run it at 1.75v, does that mean that they run cooler than regular prescotts?
