I still dont quite get the looks thing with the nickel version. I can understand it more in GPU since you can actually see the copper but with a CPU block you arent gonna see it anyway :F. Or well maybe in the acrylic top.
But anyway, Just ordered my Supreme HF nickel from EK! Got the Nickel version just because of the shiny screws ^^. They go better with silver BP fittings. Makes me wonder if I'm stupid for paying 5€ more for shiny screws...![]()
Specs:
HW: Lian Li PC-A71F | i7 920 | P6T Deluxe | HD5870 | 6GB OCZ Platinum 2000mhz | AX850W | Asus Xonar D2X 7.1 | Intel X25-M 80GB SSD | WD 2TB Caviar Green
WC: EK-FC5870 | EK Supreme HF | Swiftech MCP655 with EK top | ThermoChill PA120.2 | ThermoChill PA120.3 | EK Multioption 250
Other: Scythe Gentle Typhoon fans | Aqua Computer Aquaero | Bitspower Comp. Fittings
Ok guys i am considering swapping my Xt for this block since they perform about the same but this one has much much better flow.
My current loop has XT + 2 mcw60's a 360 thermochill and a 240mm TFC rad and all on one mcp655 is this fine? or should i switch to the HF for the flow benefits?>
If you have a lot of spare cash, go ahead. However, I'm not sure you'll see a difference in performance.
Onoff, any difference you would notice would come from mounting and thermal paste issues.
Mine has arrived - and it does look very good, I sort of find it strange that Slovenia which have thousands of beggars in the streets of Norway are able to produce such high quality products.
Something is very wrong on this planet(EU suxx)

Sorry but i dont trust non US sites that test.
THIS IS NOT A PROPER TEST BED.
Not EU 1 tester has shown a decient bed.
Hes (had a good bed BUT) -> proved false by Vapor
Bundy -> again... proved false by Vapor.
Shall i go on?
Also have u noticed EACH time a EU tester does a test, its quickly pointed out by Vapor's test it was BAD?
EU have great engineering.. but there testing methodology is conducted by a bunch of clowns.
And if you EU testers want me to take this comment back, SET UP A DECIENT TEST BED LIKE VAPORS OR SKINNEE, OR DONT TEST AT ALL.
YOU WILL BE PUT ON FIRE BY US WHEN VAPOR AND SKINNEE PROVES YOUR TEST TO BE FALSE.
THEN YOU WILL BE HUMILIATED.
This is my warning to the EU testers.
2010, The US testers are going to NAIL you guys hard.
get a proper bed, or be prepared to never show your faces again on this forum.
This also apply to vendors. Get your testers straight, or your company will look bad as well.

no those dont apply because i bet you he didnt hold steady ambients.
Ambients can make a test fluctuate, thats why vapor skinnee, and martin, as well as the olds like cathar, always had a delta chart.
Delta ambient / water temp.
I can go on and on about how bad EU testers are.
First off when you test a CPU block, its ONLY the cpu block.
You dont throw in GPU + Mosfet.
EU testers just piss me off, because i get people saying this is better, when its NOT.
And after a lot of discussion, we can see that some EU testers are Favoring vendors by "tweeking" values.
When was "tweeking" values considered fair testing?
You can make all the fun of me you guys wants.
But when the tests come out fake, it wont be me that looks bad.
I had a lot of opportunity @ CES to talk to a lot of people.
And one thing for sure, I know a few people that arent gonna let the EU get there way this year.
Real tests, with real methodology and a real working bed.
This is what we ask for.
Has 1 EU tester done it? Yes HES did, however, his results are very off with vapors.
Now why is that?

@skinneeee
Would you please place this redneck into next available drunk tank? Thank you!
To be quite honest with you, I am doubting some of Vapor's "conclusions" myself. No offense to Vapor but he always seems to over exaggerates Swiftech's products, leading me to believe he has a bias. Especially when what he says cannot be confirmed by anyone else.
That said, Vapor still knows more about watercooling than 98.9% of the world.

watch.. you think im joking.
Lets see what happens in the next few months shall we?
Thats fine, but you can look at all his data.
Vapor is open, so is skinnee.
His results are also repeatable, unlike others.
If you cant repeat the results, then its not considered a fair test.
Im not saying this block isnt the best. There isnt any testing that proves its the best.
Im saying if your gonna make a claim like its the best, without a valid test source to prove it, your passing mis information.
We got rid of all the monkeys who gave out mis information.

I tell you one thing NaeKuh - I was the first person in the world that made a testbench for coolers - using a peltier. We are talking ¨ten years ago so we didn't have that much possibillities that reviewers have today. Today you can buy a testbench for coolers.
I read a lot of tests - but no test alone decides, I read xxxxx tests but I don't trust xxxx tests more than anyone elses.
You don't like me anymore Naekuh :p I still love you thoughThink most of my results have been inline with Skinnee's results, I however I'm not bothered much by all the flow charts and co... I don't have the time to measure all that stuff... which in fact is a shame (I know). But if readers ask more detailed info : I'll always send them to skineeeeeeeeeeeelabs
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved
Remark : They call me Pro AsusSaaya yupp, I agree

Take another thing into consideration - you americans hardly understand more than your own language, whilst all europeans can read english and very often several more languages (I can understand 7 languages - and thats not unusual in this part of the world).
So you americans are really locked out of understanding aload of tests, I see no reason linking to a lot of tests here that you will have to use google to understand - and as we know google really suxx...
With old I hope you are not talking about age as I might be the oldest fart in town here :p... Well I don't think anyone really intentionally messes up his testing/results...eg I had some weird results with the EK supreme block ( was 1-2°C better performing on my setup than eg on Hondacity's ) tested and retested outcome was alike... sometimes it's weird, but that's life...

*sigh*
Link an EU test... want to rip it?
Show me a good test bed with methodology besides HES.
HES showed us you EU guys can have a good bed.
But why is his results so off with everyone else?
If you guys just dont have the means to test properly i understand, but
HES HAD A REALLY GOOD TEST BED.
WHY cant others follow HES's example in the EU, with just accurate results?
And not all of HES's results are inaccurate, he has a lot of accurate stuff, its just a FEW products it show's he's favoring.

GAh i mean old testers as in those whose been testing for awhile.
Not age... You can be 14 or 60 for all i care, as long as you have a solid bed.
