I read a review by clunk comparing the 920 and 930 where apparently the 920 D0 still overclocks better with lower vcore. If that's the case then 930 would not be a better choice for now?

Think in fairness the new 920 looks like shaping up into an exceptional chip.

Well, I bought my I7 930 and I have it prime 24h stable at 4.4 ghz! Abit high on the voltage 1.425v, but stil lowering it until i get the lowest stable voltage, but this is way better than my old CO 920 that couldn't do more than 3.8ghz.....

According to this threat
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=239175
only 12 people on this site have achieved 4.5 with less than 1.40v. I'm sure that 12 chips account for about 1% of the I7 920's out there.
and according to this other thread http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ha#post3808586
only 2 with less than 1.4
My point is that 4.4ghz and above is not EASILY achieved with lower volts.

man it's no use to argue over the old legend, the 920 D0 is true a good one but not all get the lucky 777 from intel corp. and also if not wrong this old legend already prepare his "COFFIN", so let's welcome the new one.
also i think it would be wise to spend the money over $20 or $30 to have the added multi coz who might know it would also have the Xtra Ghz
Damn, i can't wait to get an i7 930!!
Going to check if microcenter has any 3001A187. They're $229 right now
EDIT:
All they had was 3001A124
It's close but I took a pass. Anyone have experience with that particular batch?
