the P5N32-E SLI Plus, is the reason the regular P5N32-E SLI was discontinued.

apparantly, its a improved version of this board.
thats all I heard so far.
havent seen a pic, or even have a clue how the + version is better then this version, but thats why its no longer on the Asus website, it was discontinued and being updated.

I also hear, alittle of the PCB has been upgraded for better power... but I really dont know that for fact. just trying to remember the tiny bits of info I heard about this new version over the last few weeks.

So if the P5N32-E SLI is discontinued.. what about the people who currently have one? ASUS hasnt released a proper unbuggy bios for the P5N32-SLI yet.. other 680i boards seem to be getting bios updates.. (eVGA, Striker)

And has anyone tried to flash the P5N32-E SLI PLUS bios onto the P5N32-SLI?

AsusP5N-E SLI NF650i SLI was getting 500MHz FSb speeds. The only real issue I have with it is the 4 phase voltage which leads to huge voltage droops. But, for $150 and a great overclocker it is the way to go on a budget. Pair it with the upcoming 4300 and you'll have a 3.6GHz C2D setup for under $300.

    Thumbs down

    Kunaak,
the Plus version has some upgraded caps so I can see...
one more thing - it's not just an "upgrade"... take a closer look near sata sockets - old caps removed and new added on NEW place.
    Pics: http://www.anandtech.com/tradeshows/...spx?i=2905&p=3

no electrolytic caps on PLUS version, only tantalum and conductive polymer.

So, I think if we will have more detail pics - we will be able to find more new electric stuff on this board.

Also - there are no Asus Striker hidden labels...

and the last thing: it's not C55XE (marked as C55-SLIX16N-A2 or NF680I-SLI-N-A2) as on non-Plus version. It's C55 which marked as C55-SLIX8N-A2.
    http://strony.aster.pl/pmpcfg/ASUS_P...-sli-plus3.jpg

So, C55XE only on Striker and P5N32-E non-PLUS.

guys... I bought P5N32-E SLI for 269$ from mwave.com... now PLUS version with downgrade chipset for 309$? is it joke?

LOL Nice find! i was wondering why the P5N32-E PLUS was listed cheaper then the P5N32-E.. now i see why!~

i love my P5N32-E.. i just need ASUS to work on a bios that fixes the VCORE Locks and Strap issueS.. =D

you know... PLUS version marked as 16x SLI... I'm sure it has at least two 16x...

finally found: manual from PLUS version says NVIDIA® nForce® Dual PCI-E x 16

Asus page is empty for this chipset now.
