sRHunt3r and cowpuppy, thanks guys.well im running water with AC.as for the dual channel,i have to run it this was because
i've only got a 2x2GB kit at the moment.the g.skill DDR3-2200 7-10-10-28 kit.im hoping to sell these soon and get a triple channel kit.
but im pretty sure i can get the same clocks with triple channel, might have to raise the vtt?

heres my linx run and an updated 2hr prime blend run

    ADATA 1866+ 200-2000 Use 24/7 on GIGABYTE X58 980X

update setting with adata 1866+ (8,8,8,24)
This kit i got its elpida hyper, but sorted bad from 2200+ modle
so you could run this 200-2000 with CL7-7-7 but atlest needs 1.72~ 1.76v
for Suepr pi 32m. so back to 24/7, i lock vdimm to be 1.66v
and using xmp you could oc to 200MHz CL8. by the way i change cooler to
Thermaltake frio, give me 4.2GHz stable

Went back to 4.2Ghz w/ht on. Did some tweaking of the voltages. I don't think I can run 4.4w/ht on unless I switch to water.

still 4.2ghz is fast it's just not a cherry cpu and any1 getting 4.2 should be really happy they at least didn't get a dud.

here are some low voltage oc's that are IBT stable, 25 passes

on a very very nice W3540

    thanks again steve

this is cooled with a Venomous X with two Scythe SFF21F 1600 rpm's in push/pull. I can't wait to get it under water.

I got my UD3R and i7 920 D0 a cupple of days ago. The batch (3936B217) seems to be a rather moderate one, so I can't go very high at the moment. I already need some 1.35v for 4GHz and I get temperatures in the high 80s at that level. I use a Noctua NH-U12P SE2 with the two stock fans. They're probably a little slow with their 1200 RPM as are the case fans with two 120mm@1000 RPM pulling in and one of them pushing out.
Anyway, here is the current OC:

I'm currently pondering two things. 1) Selling the 920 and getting a new one 2) Switching to water.
Well, let's see what the future brings

I took the blue Gigabyte plate off of the NB heat sink last night. It was hot, as it had been running without a fan on for a while, so the adhesive tape was soft and it peeled off quite easily. Temps are now a nice 48C which is 8-10C cooler than it was before.

Also, got the vcore down nice and low now.

Popped in a second 5850 as well.

Yes, yes and probably. Like I said, I did it when it was hot but it still took a bit of force to pull off.
