The fact that he can actually be stable and pass with ram at 290+ i think is what the point is.....Abit's current bios is good for about 250-260 max memory stable......

Well I read that it appears there was no change between beta and release of BIOS 20. Seems the compile dates are the same, so all that was changed is most likely the showing of bios 20 instead of 00 do not distribute or whatever. Tictac's bios is much better since it has more divider options and a few others. I'm liking it so far

I wonder which one I should run. I am unfamiliar with what tref exactly is. Also, what is with the whole patch thing you mention? What does it have to do with the onboard LAN controller? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you for the BIOS revisions!

    Thanks,
    Jared

    try the 15,6us

that should work nice with 2x1GB UCCC stick
you have to enable lan controller to let the patch work
if you disable lan controller the patch wont work

make sure you also set in bios menu memory timing
    max async latency to 10us
    read preamble at 7.5us
    drive strength weak
    max by pass 7x

that should work best with your ram

    with tref at 15.6us

should be able to run up to 280MHz 1T

BTW what is the best way to test if memory is stable? Memtest? SuperPI?

i would also test lower MAL and RP as they will hurt your performance

i can run them at 7/5 with a few different sticks of RAM at 280MHz HTT so try 7/5, 8/5, 8/6, 9/6..........really don't think you'd need to go past that.......
