You could try y-cruncher, which run-to-run delivers a more stable peformance than LinX.
(and count realworld time against the reported execution time)

It seems that LinX doesn't scale (well) with 6-cores.
So it might result in a very unstable GFlops because of resource contention, etc.
Thanks will fiddle with y-cruncher in a bit

Tried some 06 on both boards, same basic setup, fresh install on both. I have these in 2 seperate cases both watercooled so it is a pita to switch out all hardware. I have a pair of 5870's and 2 920 do's so this was run using 2 different cpu's and gpu's but all clocks and gfx settings were the same. Ran 06 3 times on each board and these are the best scores of the 3. I was mainly looking to see the cpu score.
Good to see you got the GFLOPS issue sorted

On another note I flashed BIOS2 to 802 and need to reactivate windows... When I go back to 704 it works fine as per usual though

Is the 06 score also similar now ? Darn you guys got great bloomfield cpu's, makes my i950 look like a pita :p
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

Ok, so I am getting some low CPU scores in Vantage, i.e. around 37K. I checked my previous scores with my 920 overclocked to 4.2Ghz and they were close to 50K. Since I am running a 980x at 4.138Ghz I would think I would be higher than 37K. Any thought of what's going on?
    Thanks.

Edit: Just rechecked my numbers and my CPU score for my 920 was more like 27K. Don't know what I was thinking.

    LOL!!

So I am curious looking at this post:

    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...postcount=1178

He got a cpu score in the 62K range, how is that at just 4.0 on a 920?

But how would that effect the CPU score? I thought Physx only effected the GPU side.

Has anyone had issues with sound hardware just disappearing from Windows? I have tried a few things but cannot seem to get it to working again. Bad board maybe?

PhysX has huge effects on the CPU score. Often times, it doubles it.

Thereīs no 0804 yet but you can find the 0802 in the OP under Rampage III Extreme Biosīs

I have no info on what they have changed/improved yet , some says that itīs more stable then 0704.

I guess you guys have to test it to find out

Wondering if I can get away with swapping my Rampage II Gene for my Rampage III Extreme, has anyone tried it?

Currently have a Gene and want to swap boards to the REIII but don't really want to re-install the OS and those gazillion programs.

All hardware will be the same except the mobo.

Anyone tried this and willing to share their experience?

    TIA

I've changed motherboards before and it has been fine. It should take a minute for it to recognize your new hardware then restart.
