Im making a new cpu holding system ATM, as well as insulation

This baby needs some serious insulation. And cooling power. I hope for -65C loaded with the prescott and ~ -60C with Smithfield.

Maybe i will get hold of some R23 tomorrow, thats my ticket to -80C temps.

I wanna see at least 5ghz. Make sure to run multi-thread benchies, like PCmark. As for the prescot, go for 5.5 That would be cool.

Berkut or anybody, do you guys use RMClock to stop the throttling on this board? Or is that only needed at high temps?

I've actually had the same box for about 2 weeks now. Unfortunately, I don't have extreme cooling to play with (yet). Prometia a better direction than using say, an LS?

(some images for clarification so you don't think I'm blowing smoke up yer ass). Note that all benchmarks were run at stock speeds (for comparison's sake, I suppose).

I'm actually somewhat interested to finally get into the game (I've got plenty of boxes to use).

If you like that one, you'll probably like this one, too.

No time to benchmark this one thus far, so no results as of yet. Will be happy to provide them when I can, though.

Here are my Pentium EE 840 OC results with Vapochill LS:

Looks like Berkut ran into serious problems and he didn't use HT for example. My results are with HT enabled.

My problem was enormous HEAT what the CPU produced. I could run spi1m @ 4,45 and even 4,5 GHz but when I tried Cinebench or PCMark04 where you use all cores and logical units the CPU temp raised too much. I was able to run Cinebench only at 4,05 GHz and PCMark04 didn't run even at 4 GHz.

Holy crap that thing totally overloaded a VapoLS...

Was it a 2nd gen or a 1st gen VapoLS, cuz if it was a 1st gen (tuned for 200w load) then omg+++

33°C with a vapo LS would give more 100°C on air...

dont believe that or there was a bad contact

possible to bench at 4.45GHz with 30°C

1st gen LS was tuned for 240W load, rev2 is for 200W.
