Please tell me you are joking? The aggression so far seems to be coming from one member, and he is on the NV camp.
I do agree though, this is totally silly and should probably be closed and should never have been started in the first place, this thread is going nowhere.
The difference between you and I SniiPE is that I back up myself with cold hard evidence while you on the other hand offer nothing of the such.
Also you neglect to remember that I go with who ever is offering the best IQ/Performance at the time which is why I was with ATI all the way to the release of the G80. I have no brand loyalty as you do, I simple go with whats best at the given time and right now thats NV.
and while were at it why dont we all report ourselves for trolling? lol I only get so angry at people when they respond to me without reading what I clearly said in the post they quote. You know the feeling as you were being quite rude to me over the exact same thing just yesterday.
that said, I apologize dan7777, but please read someones full post before blatently dismissing their opinion as false.![]()

Unbelievable. Also its worth pointing out, some games are ATI and some are Nvidea optimised, comparisons vs a particular game between two different card manufacturers are futile.
and the 7950 GX2 wasn't the clearly best card at the time I bought it? What makes you think you are so righteous.
also I would like to point out that when I bought my 2900xt it was because of drivers, ATI vista drivers actually worked whereas it was an exercise in going bald and blind to use nvidia vista drivers at the time. (they are better now but anyone can say they were NOT then) sometimes performance isn't all people seek in their cards![]()
Really, with the exception of AA and AF implementation, anyone that thinks there's clear and noticeable differences in IQ between Nvidia and ATI needs to have their eyes checked, or their monitor properly tweaked and calibrated.
I bet if I were to take some random screen shots from a game with an HD 4870 and a GTX 280, none of you could tell them apart.

Get angry all you want but learn to control your emotions as it doesnt give you a right to talk to people with that kind of language. I bet if that individual was staring you face to face you would never talk like that.
Pot, meet kettle.
I prefer my money : ))))

This has been fun but at the end of the day as close as ATI and NV are to each other in regards to IQ/Performance I say just pick which ever one makes you happy.![]()
lol, thats another topic all together but so far DX10.1 hasnt really offered any clear if any advantage at all over DX10 and if im not mistaken Nvidia can do certain parts of DX10.1 even though its not fully compliant as ATI is.
If it ever picks up steam DX11 will probably be around the corner shortly after.
