    Nice intial results.

Looking forward to the overclock with volts and phase and the score with LOD as well. I think these cards will respond very well to volts as long as the temps do not run away ( that will not be a problem with your rig of course ).

Wonder what Shamino's doing ? Has Sampsa cracked open the LN2 yet etc etc ...should be fun over the next few days oince Futuremark add the card.

    Regards

    Andy

Is it too early to say tha ATi has won this round? Nice results, of course the new best, but marginally better than current ATI lineup. I am curious to see the mainstream sister cards of the 7000 series, because the flagship is kind of drab so far. Nice RAM, but where's the pipes? It had better shoot lasers out of it's eyes for the price of 2 of them as well.

It is impossible that anyone could have done a better job than you have with that hardware OPP, so kudos.

Was that 1 PSU running the FX and both GTXs? Does anyone know if there is a problem with 2 PSUs and this new series?

OPP: Do you happen to know if the 7800's have the cold bug like the 6800's do?

Nice job, OPP! Nice to see you get to play with latest hardware.

The stock results are disappointing IMO. I am not talking about 3DMark, I am talking about games as seen from http://www.hardspell.com/hard/showco...72&pageid=3099

I believe R520 may prevail this time around.

    A. Pls make comments about ATI in the appropriate thread...this isnt it

    B. Nv cards were never that good in 01 in the first place....but a 20k in 03 on water will mean ~22-23k on phase change...for one card....meaning we just might see 40k fall with two 7800GTXs.

    C. Drivers, Drivers, Drivers. It takes at least 5 driver revisions before a product shows its true potential...this is only the first atm

    D. It WILL shoot lasers out of its eyes, down the road with better drivers, 10k in 05 will be easy with one card on Nv silencer or something. which will mean 20k in 05 with sli will be a tad bit more common too with watercooled rigs....and 30k in 05 within rangeby the time the 7800 Ultra comes out.

Though yes, no doubt about it, the R520 will rock the 3dmark 01 scores, but again, that has yet to be seen, AND is not the topic of this thread....

VERY nice 01 run there OPP, but we want to see that 10k

Exactly were has ATi won? Which ATi card can match these scores on water?
Nvidia again has blown ATI away from this round, first with sli now with G70

Looks like your havin fun with the new toys OPP
Nice start with the 3DMark results

But it seems that it wasn't meant for 3dMark2001 benching - 39.5k at those clocks is just..hmm .. silly
So maybe the 2001 will remain Dothan+AGP playground

Mark03 and Mark05 is a whole different story obviously.

In SLI I was getting 14400 in 05 and 29800 in 03. This was with CPU at 3600Mhz.
And using my friend MrIcee's optimal settings from XR .

All we need is a little LOD on those benches Macci, spice up those Nature scores
Rivatuner doesn't work on this card.

    Good stuff OPP.

Now that everything else has been covered, few questions:

    1. Hows the image quality?
    2. Have you gamed with it?
    3. How easy to OC? Does it get hot, work one min, lock the next, etc?

Rivatuner has a secret G70 support. To unlock it you can add the following line to [GPU_10DE] section of RivaTuner.cfg:

    NV47 = 90h-9Fh

I hope that's in response to them freeing up the nature scores and not cos they're having problems with the cold bug... Lets not laugh at their misfortunes now.

Where is the ATI card for this round thou? Can't see one yet. I can see my previous round AGP R420 getting over 8k with aircooling and 2.7G CPU speed thou..not that far from a watercooled G70 and 3.6G CPU power.
Obviously nVidia's got the faster card now but the performance improvement is not huge.
