    Thanks for the info William.

Do you have the same memory issue with other CPU in that same board or is it just with that Penryn?

William, you got some more info on yours?

Vcore, cooling, mobo, DDR2 or DDR3, RAM frequency and timings?

Just wondering how the Wolfdale does against the Yorkfield.

Vore 1.6v on the last try.
    MB: Asus Maximus Formula DDR2
    Mem: single DDR2 Ocz PC2 8000 / Geil PC25300

I can't get it up and running with dual mem, only single.
I am stile trying to find the Max FSB.
My max for now is 480, but I think it's more to go. I just have to figure out how..

Do you still have this problem with dual mem?
Is this general with DDR2 based mobos or is it just your bios?

    9 * 500 @ 1.5VCore (dropped to 1.43v in windows)

I measured CPU idle temp to 32C and 35C at SuperPI load with an IR Thermometer.
I run the memory on 1200, not 1000. If I try 1000, the system won't boot.
