    Meh, whats a week? gives me time to get my other stuff in too, I have new toys coming lol. But anyways will definately take lots of pics of mounting and what not, and post results. Might take a week after I get it to fully compile the results. I actually didnt even see the preorder thing, they hide it quite well with their "In Stock" with a checkmark lol

    I will also crank out one of my Xeons to 4ghz or 4.2ghz on a 965, or even my old P5W DH and see how well the thermals are if it decides to comply with that.

    So far test is lookin to be

    Xeon 3060 @ 3.6ghz 1.4v
    E6600 @ 4ghz I know this one will run 4ghz+

    ==================

    Asus P5B Deluxe - P965
    Asus P5W DH Deluxe- 975X
    Intel D975XBX2 - 975X
    DFI ICFX 3200 - R600

    I can test any of these mobos.

    I will most likely test the P5B, and the XBX2 as they are the most common, and the DFI imo isnt near the performance of them when tuned right. I havent had very good luck with teh DFI at all.
    ==================

    Tuniq Tower 120

    Enzotech Ultra - X

    Stock fan for both will be tested, then move on to the Thermaltake A2018 120mm 90CFM~, then on to the Silverstone FM121 120mm 110CFM~

    TIM's include ----- Arctic Silver 5, and Cool Laboratory Liquid Pro.

    If anyone would like to see some other fan used on these or TIM. Just post I will look into getting them.

    You may want to keep your test setups as few as possible so that you have enough time preparing and doing the tests. Mounting and dismonting these giant coolers with TIM requires a lot of patience and time.
    I like your previous results of Coollab liquid metal. However, mounting and dismonting Tuniq 120 and putting the mobo with the sheer size cooler into my Lian Li 1200 is the fear factor that delays my action.

    I think you can skip R600 to keep things simple.
    One non-stock fan should be enough, let's say FM121.
    I don't see any reasons to test any other TIM besides the most popluar AS5 and the best performer Coollab liquid metal.

    i think i will hold out on a new cooler until i see the results of this thing. ive been looking for something to replace my zalman 7700cu, but the tower sinks have been sort of turning me off, due to motherboard cooling. i have the a8n32, and with no fan blowing around the board, that suckers bound to get hot.

    swiftech's already proven that that particular design works very well; i'd assume the results would be the same for the enzotech sinks ...

    i guess i meant, in general the idea of the 'many-thin-copper-cylinders' approach that swiftech uses for cpu/mb/ram sinks across the board. reviews have shown it's quite effective ...

    Ok for times sake, lets just go with probably the D975XBX2 since thats hooked up at the moment. I can do P5B if there is interest shown, but it should be fun none the less

    So now am going to be testing.

    Tuniq Tower 120 and Enzotech Ultra-X mounted with Cool Laboratory Liquid Pro (can do AS5 if someone wants to see), using a Silverstone FM121 on a Intel D975XBX2 mobo.

    Also the ETA for the Ultra X is kicked back to 2/15 so will be just a couple days longer. Someone that works for Heatsinkfactory saw my post on here, and was nice enough to email me regarding this =D

    hmmm, thats a good idea... if you ever do get the heatsink, you should test all three configurations. you can also buy one of those chipset heatsinks from them and replace the tiny black one with that.

    No, and at $60USD if it meets or beats Tuniq Towers well known cooling, then it will be far within the realm of reasonable. Im hoping at current that its finally something that isnt tower based to dethrone the tuniq

    I do not see the point in a air+water combination. It will be less efficient than a water block alone. Don't forget that you will get a temperature rise across those heat pipes

    My guess it that it will perform only slightly better than silverstone model because of the extra heat pipe-- (that) will transfer more heat to the heat x-fer sufaces (fins) so it can be removed by the air flow. As for the fins themselves, the fin area seems to be about equel judging by the spacing and area.
    A cool test would be to attach an additional 40x40mm fan to the smaller black heatsink to see how much better it cooled
