Damn...
myself, used another mm, now:
BIOS: 1,425 V
CPU-Z: 1,408 v (under laod, 2 x r@h)
Measuring: 1,41 V (under laod, 2 x r@h)
Thanx runmac, that you brought up this...![]()

A question regardin Vcore and Vdimm by hicookie.
the mod should be soldered like yelow wires on pix, the red lines shows a different nonground location, so I can assume they are connected?
And VR should be set to max resistance, like normal vmods or is it the other way around?
Does anybody have vcca and vdrop pix, I think they have been mentioned somewhere.
And Kyosen's vchip should be posted here too.
OC-Lab.si!!
I've marked a couple of points which might give a better inducation of Vcore. The origional point marked would have probably been a high frequency wave oscillating between 12v and 0v, which would have been averaged by the multimeter to give a value approx. equal to Vcore.
but those yellow wires are acctually vcore mod?
can I use 50kO trimmer for vdimm insted of 20k?
OC-Lab.si!!
You are right, those are not vcore measure points, they show like 1.62V when ~1.5V is actual. I've marked correct vcore measure pointI also attached pics of other mods - Tcore, vcca, Vchipset but for details please check Yonah competition thread. There is also Tcore mod by s7e9h3n, I think that is 20K vr on R572

Actually the mod is a 100K vr @ 21K over R570Originally Posted by kiwi

Yeah, thanks for that
It is a good idea to write some info on the picture itself, so that there is no confusion
So, can you get in bios using this mod and when at least SS cooling?

I still can't get into bios, but -80C isn't really SS temps.....Originally Posted by kiwi

I'm using a 10k which is working nicely... 50k might not provide stable enough adjustment. Maybe get away with it though, if its all you've got give it a tryOriginally Posted by zbogorgon

before soldering, at what value do you have VR set, max or min resistance?

maxOriginally Posted by zbogorgon
thx man, so 50k should work.
OC-Lab.si!!
Yes, with a lower max value and less change per turn (I'm pretty sure about thisOriginally Posted by zbogorgon
)
Is this the right measuring point?

yes that is the one i use to measure vdimm

about vcore, what resistance should VR be set, before soldering?
I am not that good with understanding those mods and really miss that info in guides.
OC-Lab.si!!
100K VR = MAX Vcore (About 1.61V)
May use 50 K VR to rise more than 100 K VR Vcore voltage.?
modded the board yesterday. Now i have 1,63Vcore and +0,3 Vdimm
for the chipset i see no need - it is specified for 1066 so i´ll leave this mod...
lets see how it now will perform under the vapochill![]()

Have the vcca and chipset mods yielded an improvement for anyone?
If you use a 50k resistor for vcore - what volts do you end up with? I'm curious if more than 1.64v will help.
edit - okay I tried the 50kohm resistor set at 50k ohm and vcore was still 1.65. It was 1.65v with 100kohm resistor. I tried to increase the vcore with the 100kohm resistor, but I saw no change even after turning the trimmer several times.

what value is VR set prior soldering, max or min resistance?
OC-Lab.si!!
I set the resistors at 100kohms and 50kohms. Actually I used a fan socket so I can take the resistor out and change it.Originally Posted by zbogorgon
Thats odd going from 100K to 50K yeilded no difference in vcore, did you check against all the suspected read points?
