I also wanted to confirm what Lexus said should other people be having the same problem. My motherboard block from EK was great but between being shipped the wrong pads and the instructions being inaccurate, this one has been a thorn in my side.

Anyhow, as Lexus said, it's best to use .5mm pads on the three locations he pointed out in his image, it did indeed help to make better contact on the far end of the block. It's not perfect but seems to be touching, so hopefully it'll be good enough.
