What is the Temps Stock with X4cores enabled?

Are you watercooled or using the Stock Air cooling on each chip.

If its the stock ALUMINUM heatsink, it just may only be good for 2xcores Not 4xcores.

Thats the only thing i can think of.ATM.

Bois temps are normal around 30c with 4 cores enabled at stock speed. Using an Opteron heatpipe cooler.

    They are definately not overheating.

what about full load? These chips prefer "cooler the better". The dual versions are most likely not going to OC as well anyhow. Takes more tweaking.

I can't get any of them fully loaded, they all have issues...

I can guarantee they are not overheating that's for sure.

Bummer. I don't think you can disable cores as far as I know. You can set affinity to select which core's run the program, but as far as disabling a core altogether I don't think it's possible. Your stepping is even earlier than mine. Mabye the later steppings are the one's

Hey,, try setting yur Nbvid to 1.25 - 1.3vid... After 3800mhz you will need to run at least that to clock all four cores.

Also it would be good idea to see how High it clocks with Two cores and high NB with 1.3vid on the NB.

    1st,,
Clock it as high as you can X2cores then lower the CPU and Nb while keeping the Same volts used with the Max Oc you found in 2xcore mode.

    2nd,,
Enable Hybrid option with say 3400mhz to 3600mhz/Nb@2000mhz ( mine does this with Stock volts)on all four cores,

slowly raise the CPU with NB @ stock ,@3800 with Vcore @ 1.44/1.48 and NBvid @ 1.3v it should be more stable than if NBvid was @ 1.1v.

Gonna see what two cores will do soon,, I usually would Clock Two cores first(How i did the 720) ,but was excited as Hybrid enabled all four from the get go.

Mine clocks best with Low HTT and using 20x CPUmulti to get up to 4200mhz Max in TwoCores ..After a lot of Hangs in 2xmode i just went back to Fourcores @4160/2700 with 4xcores in hybrid now.

It seems harder for me to get Two cores as stable vs 4cores.

I Know its Bios related and Not the Chip ,r my Chip would not Be able to Bench at 4160mhz.

This is with the Dual Bios Function (Normal vs Hybrid)and the Normal Mode seems harder to tweak. I think the UD4P F5a Bios is better optimized for Hybrid Mode.
