Do you guys think the P5B will hit 400?
I don't expect to overclock more than 3.6 with my E6600.
It says the BIOS allows tuning from 100 to 400. I think I saw it go there somehwere on the OC forum.

how well does this board overclock?? does it have vdroop problem like P5W DH or FSB wall like DFI infinity??
Abit has been selling cheaper lately, when compared with Asus and Intel.
Perhaps the AB9 and AB9 pro will be much easier on the wallet? I also heard that Abit AW8D is a great OCer, so hopefully the AB9 is just as good. I want Abit to be like how they were back in the Northwood days.

I definitely want a simple $150 mobo for Conroe at the moment. What do you think the ETA will be on the non-deluxe P5B? Abit AB9 ? Or even the intel 965?

Damn, 150 and only 400 fsb. I would go for the P5B if only it allowed for ATLEAST 450 fsb. Guess i will wait and see what the AB9 does..Originally Posted by hookid

The performance update has a nice bump. Thanks. The DS3 also has a new bios. I wonder if it'll benfit as much as the DQ6?Originally Posted by tys90

I guess you agree with me... Junkabyte.
I still think this board is probably the best option at the moment (for me anyway) only because I am certain I'm will be switching mobos 3 months down the line (lol).Originally Posted by cupholder2.0
I can only imagine the cool stuff that is going to show up later like the 590 SLI Intel editions, etc. If those 590s are anything like the AM2 version they will overclock like crazy. Only problem with AM2 is the CPU itself is so limited that all the extra potential in the 590 is wasted.
Yeah but notice they said they were using stock cooling because they wanted to see a result representative of an "out of the box" set-up.Originally Posted by tys90
I'm sure with water cooling and other enhancements (like people around here are using ) it would have gone higher all things being equal.
For how much more vs $144 shipped?Originally Posted by Lestat
Plus I think comparing something on stock coolers that overclocks to at least 360 FSB to some board modified with watercooling etc isn't an an apples to apples comparison anyway?Originally Posted by dogsx2
Now if they were cooled identically then FSB comparisons would be more valid.
I think this board is the "sleeper" because it has some nice features nobody is mentioning like solid capacitors and other things.
Since I am not planning on running dual cards I'd rather use the extra $115 I'm saving an just get a better memory kit and/or processor.

ewiz has that board but cheaper than newegg

Thanks! That was enough incentive for me to order it. I'll get my "ultimate" board later in 3-4 months or so when I have a better idea on which one really is the best.Originally Posted by mion
