I just ran some tests with A64 X2 4800+. It was just a little bit (30 points) faster in 3DMark05 than FX-55 (both running @ 2,6 GHz). Unfortunately BIOS doesnt have an option to raise the Vcore but I'll be still doing some oc testing with VapoLS during the weekend.

Can't the mach 2 hold the temprature then running cinebench over 4.4ghz or is it the cpu itself that can't take more or can't the motherboard supply enough power? just wonder / olfen

Berkut, why are you allowed to have a Mach II GT on it but not your cascade?
Prometeia is a commercial product and it goes down to -40C only, not -80C idled, -70C load like my cascade... The guy who has this cpu is afraid to go xtreme.

Sorry guys, no 3d benches. At 4.6ghz i was at the moment when adding a fan caused instability. Running multi threaded applications sounded like someone is welding with a TIG or MIG welder. The prometeia didnt hold the load heating preety fast and the cpu hanged.

@ 4.4ghz 1.6V the internal cpu temp. would rise to -1C - 2C loaded with POV ray. Thats with -57C on the prometeia display, thats like -35C. We had to place the prometeia outside beacause it overloaded else.

I have so much to say yet im so worn out cause of yesterday.

This intel motherboard is sssoooo buggy. Most of the time i was fighting with it, entering the bios is a real pain @ over 4.3ghz. It doesent want to enter, so you have to disconnect the IDE tape and try a few times restarting the computer hitting F2 and Del constantly... If you overclock a little too high it goes wild loosing settings, not booting etc. The bios seems to be a very early beta version

I had to turn off HT, anything over 4.4ghz 200mhz fsb / 4.26ghz (or smth like this - 16x266) would make entering windows a challenge.

This is a preety weird bugger When set at 4.6ghz in the bios, when load is applied the clock raises by about 40-80mhz (flickering)

If you manage to enter windows at a certain clock there is no way it can be hanged with a single threaded app. Still the clock cant be changed in windows

Pics of the rig later guys... I have to eat breakfast and visit the bathroom, i just jumped out of the bed to write this post...
