Gunna try some SLI action Today:)

Finally got me a few nVidia 6800 Ultra cards, MSI.
I'm gunna test them on a couple of Swiftech MCW-50 Tec blocks today.

Looks like fun, see if I can't get into the Top 20 on the ORB

    Chunky: it is MSI...

Opp: If you are trying for 05, you might want to try out the newest driver 76.41 (came out today and looks like it is the fastest for 05 of the bunch)unless u whql only...

    Good setup buddy,
    Besure to press:
shift F2(press together) and then alt f3
and use ati/nv speed up to OC your video card.
like this you will see under bios.

    OPP,
I think the swifty's will work really well with that...
    TEAR IT UP!!

MSI board, right? Looks to have GREAT spacing between cards... that's the ONLY place that DFI fell asleep with their NF4 series....

The DFI have the Same Spacing between slots as the MSI, they both have 1 slot between them.

Before I fire this thing up, does anybody know were to measure the core voltage on these 6800s?

Left side of this resistor (+) and any ground for VGPU. Your voltage will increase once Windbloze loads the drivers so don't start too high. VR-Zone has a nice BIOS mod for an extra .1v also. I got my cards to 1.77 with pencil/BIOS mods.

The ASUS is the only board with good spacing, but, we know how well that board does.

The VREG is the same as the AGP versions. Shamino has the info right here:

    And the memory mod:

    2 x 6800 Ultra PCI-E
    Innovatek NV40

I used the VRZone info for modding, but on the VRZone picture the measure point doesn't exsist on my card, my card looks different.
I have measure two places, one reads 1.58V and the other reads 1.1V, neither sound right to me.

When I measured mine, I used the one that is directly in line with ic's 5&6, right to the left on your pic. I got around 1.42 V.

I guess the mcw50-t are just narrower than I remember... on my DFI-SLI, with default ASUS coolers there was nearly NO space!!

Are you sure on that boss? sure it's just one slot on both but i think MSI has some more milimeters to play, I say this because one of my MCW50-T's does not fit between the cards, unless I'm doing something wrong.
Thx god for the dryice and the liquid nitrogen.

But the MSI Plat. and Diamond are the same as the DFI.. I have a Diamond and use its SLI bridge on DFI at the moment as I am modding a DFI Ultra into a SLI.

The coolers are colder then straight water so thats why I'm useing them, they will be fine untill my Cascade is ready.

I'm waiting for JB weld to dry on my ehiem for my second loop. I thought I had more water stuff in my garage but my Pumps and Rads suck

Won't be able to play until tomorrow, I have one card now. It reads 10c.
