Remember, this is the middle performance plate too - so more to come by the seems of things.

If it ain't watercooled, I don't wanna know.

    Mmmmh,

I just heard someone say that the block won't fit on the Gigabyte P35-DS4 rev. 1.0 board, because the mosfet cooler is in the way (about 2-3mm).

I should be receiving my block tomorrow (if all goes well).
As I have the P35-DQ6, which has the same mosfet cooling, I'm interested to see if this is true.

    Eddy,

I've bought your block, but I want to hard mount using the Swiftech GTX backplate. I'm not sure what thread size I need for the GTX backplate but I can find that out elsewhere but what length of screw should I be looking at for the hard mount?

RLM, you hard mounted IIRC, maybe you can answer these questions? Thanks guys.

The GTX back plate uses M3 sized threading while EK provides M4 bolts, nuts and washers, if I'm not mistaken.

Eddy does it matter how you mount the block?
I have it like in the P35 DQ6 example... or doesn't it matter :?

    Garrett,

Just try it out and see. Will be interesting to see if you do get a difference.

For the Supreme I used a thermaltake back plate. Sorry that doesn't help you much.

I would guess you'll get a little better performance if you line up the slot nozzle with the core orientation. Just like the Artic Silver thin line notes recommend.

    RE: Vertical Mount

After looking at Eddy's pics, I thought I would have another go at mounting the Vertical mount.

Managed to squeeze it in, but it does push up on the top heatsink, so the heatsink doesn't sit flush. A few small cuts to that heatsink and it would fit fine.

Results however weren't as good at load. Where as the horizontal mount averaged out at 55 55 50 49 during the 15 minute run, with vertical they averaged at 58 58 51 51.

Tests here at 425x9 1.51v Ambient same as previous tests.

HHMmm......I'm looking at this one myself. I have my loop parts arriving tomorrow for my 2900xts, and I may end up running a seperate loop for my CPU. I haven't decided yet. I may end up testing with them on one, then upgrading if need be.

So is everyone satisfied with this one? Is this going to knock the Fuzion from 1st place?

    Hi!

It is very likely that the turning the block for 90° would make a difference.
If you know how the cores are oriented you should turn the block that the channel section covers direct area vver the cores.
    See very raw image:

Well my results above are to the contrary. On a quad that would be a vertical mount, and a horizontal mount is yielding better results. Have to wait and see other's results I guess.

Just wonder if having the top heatsink pushed off the board is affects my temps?

That's just a guesstimate... though, considering that it has been a week and I don't have confirmation of shipment yet, it may turn out to be an accurate guesstimate.

    I do

I ordered 88gt nickle plated and ek supreme, but unfortunately kept the rad from TT kandalf LCS tower as i didn't have enough money

As my 8800gt broke down before I put on the block, i can only post results from a loop: res->ddc-1t (modded plus)->ek supreme->TT rad->res

Must say I'm pretty satisfied as I know the rad sucks... up to 7C drop from TT waterblock (before up to 52, now 45C), cpu@ 3500 1.34V, tried a bit @4000 1.6V, around 59C... this rad sucks
