    spectacular clocks guys. Im looking into getting an E8400. Do any of u guys have extras lying around that uv tested? im looking for a 4, 4.2, or 4.5GHz :P stable chip.

    Hehe. That was 4905Mhz man. I cannot disable EIST so multi always goes to 6x while idleing.

    Zucker2k: nice temps at those volts man! Great chip also to be stable at those speeds with so "little" volts.

    Thanks guys. I'll be trying to stabilize this at 4.5ghz for 24/7. Anything less than that will make me miss my quad.

    managed to run many 3dmark06 cpu loops at 4650mhz @ 1.59Vcore at my warm room (24C)....tomorrow with the open window with ambient temp ~10C i guess will go better..

    you always manage to squueze the max out of your hardware giorgos i got an e8400 and e8500 coming on monday and will keep the best one but it looks like the e8500 has the edge with a lower vid and the extra .5 multiplier

    Hey Zucker2k!

    What are your bios settings! I too have a maximus with a e8400 and would like to 4.5G 24/7. Right now I am at 4.3G with 1,35Vcore but my temps go as high as core1 49-54 & core2 53-60!

    Just remember that number is not measured at the same spot as what CoreTemp is reporting. The Intel number is measured at the geometric center of the IHS so CoreTemp numbers can go higher since they are measuring at the hottest points on the two cores.

    Well I too Jumped on the E8400 Bandwagon
    I have a Q745 slapl chip w/ a packdate of 12/20/07 from microcenter
    so far I'm still testing but its running 9x450 for 4050 atm w/ 1.304 about 6 hrs Prime stable so far gonna let it go overnight and then push for more. its got a Vid of 1.1125v seems pretty typical so far.

    550 FSB Mem Untweaked Edit: I forgot to drop Vcore for this run. Hence it is cranked for such a low clock

    Still working on high clocks, but nice to know that 4.05Ghz is rock solid with 1.275v.
