Thank you Macci and all the others

With this setup 41K seems easy achievable, in fact we just run the graphic card at low speeds 730/650

We just use the new drivers, that was quick run, we use SP4..

We got 496 in Lobby Low and 225 in Lobby High (we saw more ) - the power of this FX-53 is really wasting

Next step - calibrate the cascades (we dont have any ethylene, so we have to use the 404a from my poor Promie ) and do a full run of 3DMark 2001 an 3DMark 2005 at 3.500mhz, DDR at 270mhz 2-2-2 and the X800XT at 800/680.

I hope Futuremark fix this rapidly, I alreday send e-mail to support (if I remember this also happend when 30k was achieved).

Man your Deep in to 40k!! 40.6!!! WOW is an under statement. You need to get GFti4200 to give a prediction on how much higher you system will go!! Just kidding.

And not even Killer GPU timings. I can pull off 710 /620 on the ATI i was using on air. Man that's some CPU horsepower!!!

Dont even ask where i've been!!!

lets see, 800/680 clocks are worth what? 340 in nature? thats 24fps more or 480 marks more alone from that. there will be a slight gain in drag low so I recon 600 marks gained just from gpu. Thats 41.2k then the rest from cpu at 10 marks per MHz

Looks like you got a nicely tweaked OS/BIOS/RAM there. Not much difference in clockspeed/FSB and lower card clock but your still getting quite a bit higher score!

Yeh, the CPU cascade with the new compressor for 2nd stage (Danfoss 3/4hp) and some modifications works like a charm, even without etylhene ..here is one reading with MBM

The GPU really need more gas, preferentially ethylene - when we try to put some more, the 404a from my Promie ended

Our goal is the GPU cascade never ever drops bellow -90ºC even in giant benchs like 3Dmark 2005 .. is just as matter of having the gas in our hands

I'm very pleased you recognize it my friend, in fact as long time overclocker I always value this part - I invested a lot of time in the preparation of the Bench Hard Disk

The importance of a good tweaked OS/BIOS/RAM may be not valued for some, but certainly not for your - that is what I call "THE ART OF OVERCLOCKING"

That's why for me 2001 is the best bench ever, 2003 and 2005 involved no Art or much less Art, that's sad , but we have to adapt for the new times

I thought everybody use alot of time on preparing their Harddrive for benching.. As you say your self, OS/BIOS/RAM is the half of the "result"..

For me there is only 1 true benchmark for system testing purposes. And thats 2001.. And the one with most prestige in the top spot! IMO...

Thats one sick score.. But the Car-High and lobby-high.. how did you do it? I mean 183FPS CH and 225FPS LH. The increase you have there is higher than your +100-150Mhz cpu-speed should give, considering the 2nd and 3rd place score. Is it a combination of Win2k SP4 and the new drivers or what?

    Again, one sick score

Take a look at Jason's score (#4) too.
He is at (only) 3222CPU/230RAM yet hes getting 166CH and 201LH.

    Thanks

That was the result of the extraordinary bandwit of this FX-53, memory was "only" at 268 2-2-2-5 and other well chosed timmigs

The limit of my BH5 on this mobo is around 275, and we still have Ricky's mystical BH5's to play

Since our first tests with my FX-53 and Gigabyte, we are getting CH and LH very similar to these, even with older drivers (4.9) ..in fact the first test of all gives immediately 180 in CH with the setup not fullt tweaked yet

To be honest what impressed me much more is the 500 Lobby Low run, maybe I will do a short movie in my cam to share the experiencie will you

Of course these remimd me to a special thanks to CodeRed and his fantastic A64 Tweaker, thanks Steve

yes with good settings the A64tweaker is a weapon , Pedro do you have shutdowns when you give max voltage to your FX and X800 specially under 3Dm2001 ?

    Yes we have it.

Part of "The Art" is to descover the exact limit (considering the amount of overvoltage), it is really diferent from system to system.

My FX-53 it is not a voltage lover, remenber that have done 3.300mhz with voltage bellow stock (1,4v) ...eheh to bad I did not take a picture of Ricky's face at that moment, he was so so amazed that thinks is a bug in Cpu-z, he only fully belive when he check in the multimeter ..after that starts to jump ..eheh ..that was fun

Nope, I just do a good help.

For me there only 2 "gods" in 3DMark01 - Macci and RickY
That is my personally opinion - of course there are other very good guys around, but for me only RickY and Macci have their place assured in the Olympus of 3DMark 2001
