Yea it is, better deal than the Dell 7800GT one that I just posted if you need to upgrade the video card and are stuck on socket 754 or and older 462/478 system.

Didn't even know eVGA made mobos, I doubt it'll do all that well against a DFI uT NF4, but then I bet it won't half the it is to set one up either...

I just talked to them and it is now just thru their web store. The rep said it will be at newegg and the rest in time and will last for at least 30-60 days. $449 for a 7800gt + shipping. I'm not sure what the mb would bring on ebay. Any thoughts on a price on ebay. NE has them for $139, I never knew they made a mb and don't remember any reviews on them.

3 posts by the time i finished typing, hot action today. amazing how much diff between 7800's this year and 6800's last year, maybe that is what makes them seem like such a deal.

Nah, I haven't seen a new video card get launched and drop this quickly in price, well...ever!!

Not even in the Voodoo 3dfx or nV GF2 heydays was it like this (I still remember the GF2Ultra's costing upwards of $500 in some places: http://www.hardware-one.com/reviews.asp?aid=198&page=1 and staying at that price for months before dropping!!).

Sure, but that is over time, whenever something new gets released the price is always pretty damn high for at least 3 months or so, I've never seen it drop like this!

Not that I'm complaining or anything....
