Just read How to use prime 95 properly and I wonder how we would all do if we set the Priority to 10?

makes some sense - might try mine later

Prime95 stable for at least 31 hours:

    (a) ADA3000DAA4BP, LBBLE 0517 APQW
    (b) Boxed air
    (c) 55 degrees
    (d) SP2004, small FFT's for maximum heat.
    (e) see below:

I did not try to go higher at this voltage. Any higher voltage makes it to hot to get it stable enough.

Is it possible to get Prime95 to display that you test with a priority of 10?

Well in the Johnny Lee version it is easily seen. Don't think it can be displayed as easily with the normal version.

hey, what's up with the "johnny lee" prime? I'm having a heck of a time getting prime ... using 24.11 and 24.6 -- the johnny lee looks nice as it has start times etc. but what about the underlying prime engine, same as the standard prime ones?

    Thanks

ive got no proof next to it but its definately 24hour prime stable (sadly battlefield 2 doesnt like overclocks at all though but everything else is 100% stable)

im yet to see how much further i can push it though, ill probably end up getting a 3700SD or fx55SD before i bother to though.

ive forgotten the stepping (god im not very good at this am i? lol) cooling is a mach2 GT (does 2.7ghz air) sits around -30oC idle and -10/15 load

EDIT: hmm just read the rules on first page, remove this and ill re-do my OC when i get my waterchiller on it

A far as I am aware the engine in SP2004 by JOhnny Lee is the same engine it just a nicer GUI for stress testing with letting u know how long its been running etc

the new beta prime lasts a bit longer for me when overclocking but only a few hours but prefer the interface of SP2004 - no one said it would be easy to get passed the 24hr

    (a) ADA3000DAA4BP, LBBLE 0517DPMW
    (b) Thermaltake Big Typhoon, default fan (16dB)

    (d) Small FFTs. Stable in everything else as well though.

Pic was taken less than 2 seconds after I stopped it, MBM didn't have time to update so all temp readings are full load.
    Edit: I updated the pic.
CPU-time > 73 hours, since I stopped it to take the 28hr screenshot when I first created this post...

    Late to the party...

X2 4200+. Best setup for me was 2700MHz (still experimenting with FSB and memory setup) @ ~1.488 Vcore. I was able to get 2750 @ 1.6, but this raised temps 10+ degrees and didn't seem worth it to me.

This thread lives! Somewhere in time!

In an interesting sidenote, I discovered that Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is a better stressor of my memory than Prime95 and memtest86. I was doing 2.5-4-4-7 easily with Prime95 and memtest86, both for 24+ hours, but KOTOR locked up and BSOD'd regularly until I dropped my timings to 2.5-5-5-8. So, apparently neither Prime95 nor memtest86 were adequate for my rig to push my memory to the absolute limit.

I have, however, found a GREAT program for testing memory OCs, and best part is, I can play this program instead of sitting there looking at it!

Yeah. All this stress testing is just a prelude to actual applications and games. I just want to be smoothe and stable in games.

The mods probably won't notice this thread unless the post count goes way up. Maybe if Faceless Rebel were to sex it up a little with a top ten list it might get the competitive juices flowing.

Just wanted to join this thread here...

Not the best OC but it's the most stable this CPU/RAM combo has ever seen in the few months that I've had them...

The best I was able to do with the same CPU/RAM combo but with an MSI K8N Neo2 was 245HTT @ 1.55v 1:1 but with some limitations on the RAM because of the MSI board...

The best this RAM has ever done at 3.4v was 250MHZ @ 2-2-2-5 on an IC7-G/3.0 P4"C"...

I was never able to get it back to 250MHz on my K8N Neo2 for sooo long even though I had a 92mm fan & DDR Booster running through it...

Just go my DFI Ultra-D a weekend or 2 ago, modded it to SLI straight away before testing it & then proceeded to install everything...

Was running okay at 245MHz at 3.2v (limits of PSU 3.3v rail & didn't wanna use the 5v dipstick of the DFI board so I whacked in my Booster & gave that a go... lol & behold, I turned it up to 3.4v (w/ stock AMD64 3200+ 70mm fan blowing on it) & proceeded to crank it to 255MHz at the tightest timings that this RAM has ever seen... I could probably get it a bit tighter but for now this is good enough for me...

BTW, I've tried this RAM on my SLI-D & it didn't prove to be as good as it was on this board... The SLI-D doesn't like my OCZ PC3200 GOLD as well but I haven't tested it yet...

Enough blabbering, here's a screenie of it doing Prime95 smallFFT for over 71 hrs... If you think it's funny that there's only 1 line per FFT, I have got D2OL running in the background as well... It's managed to nearly do half as much candidates as my Vapo/SLI-D rig although it's only been on for half as long...

    Anyways, here it is:

FATAL ERROR: Resulting sum was 76171289098.1149, expected: 76171289098.11478
Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file.
    Torture Test ran 28 hours, 29 minutes 24 seconds - 1 errors, 0 warnings.
    Execution halted.

I guess I failed after 28 hours, but that was during the day when the A/C in the apartment shuts off (ambient around 95 degrees in here). If I had left the A/C on I doubt it would have failed. Look how close those numbers are! Maybe it was a software bug.

    a) Dont know.. It's an X2 4400+
    b) Water
    c) 44 C (that I saw, higher when I was at work)

I still have the problem, will someone PLEASE help me out. I can prime at this speed no problem but I have problems booting into windows. When I get to the screen with all the IRQ settings and device listings, sometimes the computer will not initiate:

"Verifying DMI Pool Data" and "Backup CMOS... OK!"

Then the computer will reboot. What could be the possible cause of this problem?
