to everyone who bought a storm block open it up and check for both rubber o-rings. i received mine and installed it, started leak testing and boom!! niagra falls. ive never seen so much water leak out before. opened it up and an o-ring is missing. im just pre-warning you guys cause it sucks! hopefully nothing is wrong wth the rest of the components, there was no power to anything except the pump

it sucks i got to let everything dry out and then pray it works. no power to any of it so it should be good

Wow, that sucks.
I'd e-mail Swiftech to let them know. They really should keep a closer eye on that. I probably wouldn't have opened it up before installation either.

wow...that sucks ass man...hope everythings ok...just let her dry out everything should be fine....i put my flash drive (out of the casing) thru a laundry machine....it was fine no powre to it i guess. ill be sure to check when i get mine!

They are probably rushing to assemble them, bet they have loads of orders.

This is another VERY good example of why you should allways leak test stuff outside your case before you install it.

Make sure you dry everything out VERY thoroughly before you turn it on. Dont rush or you WILL kill something!!!

also if you have as water wetter etc you will need to clean the board down with isopropo alcol or acetone as they leave a residue than is conductive where the water evaporates off.

ovens at 70-80oC are good for getting rid of water from all of the hidden areas. just make sure you put something above the board to stop direct heat from damaging the plastics.

Did anyone else recieve their yet? Any pics and reports of performance? Are you sending it back or getting that missing o-ring yourself? Swiftech should check their rutines and send you a little something for the experience. And yes, be sure to dry everything very closely, I've killed two motherboards and two graphic cards by not having the patience to wait

The top plate is solid delrin no meatal inserts...this pic should make it easier to see.

OMG, DO NOT USE ACETONE ON PCBs!!!

One thing I've found works is using BrakeClean and hitting the whole board fast at high pressure then blowing it all off with compressed air FAST. It didn't damage any of the plastic components or the board, but the stickers will be gone so take them off first and reapply after.

I checked mine as well, and the o-ring is in both parts. Hopefully this is just a 1 off incident. Still haven't had time to install it in the rig yet.

yeah the o-ring between the copper and black was missing. this thing was leaking bad, so bad that i heard it before i saw it....lol. im not going to try the computer till tomorrow. does anybody know if frozencpu has good rma?

I know they want the original back BEFORE they send the replacement, unless of course you pay for the replacement beforehand. However, as of this afternoon, they were out of the Storm blocks
