    My FX-57 benches at 3800MHz!

I put my FX-57 on my PCIce -90C cascade yesterday.
It took a while to figuer out but I got it running, the only problem at these temps is the memory controller. The colder the chip the less memory speed I can obtain. I'm limited to around 230 Max when the Cascade is at -90C.

Gunna do some more this weekend and see what we can do.

    Here's the bugger doing 3D05 at 224x 17 = 3800Mhz.

hmm. well that sucks the mem controller cant take it... funny how the mem controller is the a64's biggest asset but also its biggest hinderance for overclocking...

Yea, the mem controller problem is a complete bummer. I hope there are chips out there that can handle the cold.

opp if you try it with ln2 and control the temps you maybe can reach higher mem speed

a question what is better insane cpu speed or something more slow but 1:1

Opp, does 2x 256MB of mem give the same results as 2x 512mb?
half a gig of mem is lesser strain on the memory controller that one whole gig, maybe at -90 it's makes the difference

    Andy,

considering that eric had to run the SD at 233 memory instead of 270mhz I'd say that 200mhz is entirely negated for 3d01.

In 05 running at 3800MHz is better, not sure about 03.
But in 2001, it is terrible with the low Bandwidth

Gee can you try memtest burnin under those conditions

Works under normal temps sometimes, maybe just gotta re-train the mem ctlr? (Just WAG - couldn't hurt to try )

    And nice stuff anyway Opp...
