GSkill 4400 LE DDR608 SP32M stable: Is this Xtreme or what?

In a time where the question whether TCCD worths over TCC5 is on the table, I have to contribute with my (happy) experience with TCCD. If someone can achieve this kind of results (Superpi 32M stability) with TCC5, please step in.

My opinion about this memory: OUTSTANDING

All the following results were achieved with the system listed in the sig, 510-2 bios and memories cooled by the XP120 (the one in the bottom) and by a 80mm fan (the one in the top). For 2x512 results, the orange slots were used.

Now... the results:

Unfortunately, my mobo is not able to run at 315+ fsb with enough stability (it does not even boot with 320), and so impressive 2.5-4-3 or 2.5-4-4 results are not possible to reach

@amrgb : Weird you can't run over 315mhz, which settings are you setting up to that?

I've tried almost everything, LDT Multi from 1 to 3, LDT and Chipset voltage from stock to max. It's a no go. I have a good power supply and all power connectors on. Maybe with another bios, but I had the same issue with other bioses.

Is there something more to try (maybe its in front of me and I can't see it)?

I'm going to check out my LEs how far will they clock with Trcd 3. Max for now is 297MHz Super PI 16M stable. But for now I have to pass my exam of internal medicine

Keep o/clocking man. Your alpha timings are still pretty tight. Maybe try to loosen them just a little bit more.

Good job amrgb Not many can achieve clocks of DDR600+ @ 2.5-3-3, its a very nice accomplishment. I would also like to see someone get this type of results with TCC5. TCC5 clocks fine @ 2.5-4-4, but isn't good at all @ 2.5-3-3.

This is excellent result, amrgb! So far, it looks like you're the one with highest MHz on TCCD with TRCD=3 :thumbsup:

BTW, get the lastest CPU-Z 1.29 (version you're using - 1.26 - is a bit archaic now )

I think I've reached the end of the line. Maybe, with completely lousy secondary timings I can reach DDR612, but I'm too tired and I need the computer to work.

Also, I can try the 3.1v, but not until the ambient temperatures drop below 18C.

So for now it's over.

Hey Nice Results! But I must tell you that you're gonna eventually kill that pair of sticks running @ 3.0 Vdimm. My guess is that they're 0440 chips? If so, they're rated to handle 2.8V MAX. What happens with these IC's is that they'll give you tremendous clocks @ high Vdimm initially, but soon will begin to degrade due to too much voltage. I know a certain someone that wouldn't be too happy if you RMA'd these sticks If you get a chance, try these timings:

try 5.0ns read preamble, should be far better. Your cpu is outstanding, mine only can handle ~285fsb on very loose timings. 260fsb stable (32M SPI & Prime) with 2.5-4-4-7 at 2.6v (OCZ PC3200 Rev.2 TCC5 chips), 2600Mhz cbbid@1.36v vcore also stable with 2.9v, it doesn't make differance. Tried tighter timings with tens of combination with volts and memory tweaks. Just my cbbid can't do it, very poor mem controller. Your cpu rocks

Yes, they are 440. I'm not that crazy, for daily use a run 200@2.6v, 262@2.7v at the maximum 291@2.8v. This is only to find their limits, never run 3.0v for more than an hour at a time and the memories are well cooled (IC temps 30-32C). This overclock has no use for me, since my cpu can only run at 2620.

And don't worry, I would be the last man on hearth to be happy to RMA these sticks.

What kind of stability do you get with the timings showned in your pic? I'm curious.

I partly agree with you. Good memory controller but only acceptable overclock (and acceptable only considering that it's a CBBID). Max is 2620 (a little more in the winter with more volts).

Awesome sticks You have down there And still have something to loosen. My chips (437) need a lot of V so 3,0V i quite normal for them when running on higher speeds. I need 2,8 V to stabilize them on DDR550 MHz. But maybe s7e9h3n is right that 440s don't like high voltages.

Got a second SD 3700+(0517 UPBW? - off went its head!) to replace the POS I had and hopefully will join the party. 10x300 2.5-3-3-7
Finishing up some Goldmemory testing now. Bet it won't survive like this in winders.
If I can keep the Speed and drop to 2.5-4-3-7 I can live with that though
