Although it only has 1600 more with a single card, but I didn't realise that a single 6800U scored 3000 in 3dmarks 2005, I could have sworn it was 5k, but guess I'm wrong, eh after looking at that I guess it does score pretty well.

Also gj opp on almost getting 50k, I bet you could get over 50k with cascade, if you can get past the cold bug.

the reason you think it is scoring low is because that 3dmark run was not at default settings

it was at 1600x1200 4xAA 8xAF

From what I've heard, 05 could very well be the next 01... seems like SLI efficiency with the G70s depend a lot on CPU power.

Sheesh, took me like an hour to read through the entire thread.

Anyway, I'm looking real hard for a reason to ditch my current card. The 7800GTX advancements are impressive, but underwhelming. I really want to know what settings the 7800GT and 7800 will be running with.

And I'm getting a bit antsy in anticipation of information about ATI's response, the R520. More news on the 'Ultra' variation of this card wouldn't hurt either.

It will be interesting to see when Opp gets serious with this pair and starts using more sophisticated cooling and modifications.

Though are you still on water ???? Nice Though then perhaps we will look to the 32 Pipe behemoths coming next year for the 40k on air rigs
