    im a bit confused her . maybe its another revistion i have ,but im having defeculty finding where to put the vcore mod. anyone have a rev 1 picture ,thanks in advanced ,

    Hi Malves,

    I'm using a bog std P4C800E Deluxe. VCore is set at 1.5375v at 246fsb on my 2.8C yet Probe sez its 1.6/1.616v idle!?

    Using 1021bios, but all bios versions appear to give same readings!

    Wondered if this is Winbond borking it up but value your thoughts on the matter. Thanks!

    DOnt worry bout it. It overvolts by default to begin with and no fix for that.

    Malves, id like to get all the mods done to my p4c800 that you can do im running it at about max right now 3.0e@ 3.75. i need the vdroop, vdimm.

    ive tried doing the vcore mod on a p4c800 deluxe today . id like to have clear some questions. i did the point A mod. i put one end on point A then through a 50 k and back to a grund on fan stick. is it done right ? if so how do i fire it up. put the vcore on auto at forst, and then slowly turn the trimmer while in biose to se the vcore rise? apriciate any help .thanks

    and another thing ,which one is grund on the pot meter .the leg nearest the end or the other closer to the middle? does it make a difference which i put where since they both go through the trimmer ?

    Ja, I'd also like to know where to measure the VCore, as I'm stuck at 1.6 with my Prescott and P4C800-E Deluxe.

    I cannot see a VMeasure point for the VCORE on the first post. Is the Bios mobo monitor accurate enough to use? What resistance should I solder the variable resistor on at?

    your mod is ok!
    when you decrease the variable resistance (from 50k to 1 k) --->the Vcore increases.

    I have put Vcore @1,54 Volt from bios,the vriable resistance is @ 22k,and the real Vcore is 1,72Volt..........

    you can measure Vcore on a P4C800EDeluxe between Ground and this point.

    You wouldn't believe how difficult that spot is to get to with the DVM probe!

    Anyway, I have done the mod, and just watched it go over 1.7V. Will post a pic of it, as I got some heatsinks on the mosfets too

    I really need a better location to measure the VCore, as I just can;t get to it with the probe, and I really don't trust the measurement in the BIOS, it jumps around like crazy!

    Here's the mod done, with the heatsinks on the mosfets:

    Cheers Micdoc, that point is much easier to get to! It measures totally different to the bios though?! I am measuring 1.6V @ coil, and 1.75 in BIOS...

    at my mobo the difference between that point or the other and bios ...is only 0,01volt.......

    does the VDIMM Mod HAVE to use a 50 k resistor? i've got 10 k handy but not 50...
