    Waterblock "Hybrid" made by Pietach

    This is my next waterblock
    This waterblock will be with an integrated radiator
    This waterblock is for weaker CPU
    It won't be efficient ( temperature will be higher) but it will be silent.
    The design is based on Freezer

    My previous project of radiator




    Elements of waterblock





    It's not shiny now but when I finish it, it will shine.


    Remaining elements:
    30 Alluminum sheets - 60x90x1.5mm
    Arctic Fan 3 TC
    cooper pipes

    wowa.. now that is interesting. any word on how heavy it will be?

    btw pietach, make sure to use the THINNEST possible material for the radiator fins for best perforamnce.

    And how do you get the water in there? And is it just natural convection to move the water around? How do you get the aluminum to stay on the tubes at certain hieghts?

    Oh so you pump the liquid in just a pump/rad loop? So is this sorta just like a heatpipe setup?

    thats pretty dam sick, so lemme see if i can understand this. the radiator is right on the cpu block ? would that be better than having the radiator seperate ?

    its not really better but its innovative... a regular HE120.1 or BIP or BIX will end up performing considerably better than this setup but the idea is interesting.

    its not a heatpipe its a radiator on the cpu waterblock. interesting idea! for those people who hate hacking up their cases, this could be the solution.

    no, not at all as there is a completelty liquid filled tube, there is not vapourization going on at all.

    If you filled it with liquid propane to a pressure so it boils just above room temperature (~121psig) the liquid would turn into gas --> move up to fins --> turn back to liquid --> do the cycle again. I think that this would work better as a heatpipe than a regular h20 circuit.

    But FIRST you would have to make sure all joints were soldered/brazed.. otherwise they would burst!

    Seems like a cool way to do it, but how much noise will the fan make, and I doesn't quite understand where the pump will be?
