    should have used msec modded pi and removed car low tests since they can vary 30+fps.

    I agree though, low latency is very good... the problem is running "high" vdimm

    3.5 is safe for 24/7 use at least on my sticks it is had them for a year ran them for 6 months straight at that voltage before.

    i'm not worried about the ram, just the CPU.

    about 3.1v is all I trust it to for 24/7

    WE NEED 150 DIVIDER....Tictac pls keep that in mind if you are going to do a modded bios

    I suggest you to take into account all possible combinations of the refresh cycle in your tweaker. About Tref i think the bits in the Refresh Rate field of the DRAM Timing High Register are encoded in this way:
    Bits 12-11 are the refresh cycle in us:
    00 -> 15.6 us
    01 -> 7.8 us
    10 - > 3.9 us
    11 -> 1.95 us
    Bits 10-8 are the MemFreq where the refresh cycle selected in Bits 12-11 is given. These Bits are encoded like the DRAM MEMCLK Frequency field in the DRAM Configuration High Register:
    000b = 100 MHz
    001b = 120 Mhz
    010b = 133 MHz
    011b = 140 Mhz
    100b = 150 Mhz
    101b = 166 MHz
    110b = 180 Mhz
    111b = 200 MHz
    However on the Abit Board you can select 216, 233 and 250 Ram Freq (through the bit 30 of the DRAM Configuration High Register i think), so we have:
    000b = 100 MHz
    001b = 216 Mhz
    010b = 133 MHz
    011b = 233 Mhz
    100b = 250 Mhz
    101b = 166 MHz
    110b = 180 Mhz
    111b = 200 MHz

    I try. although i'm no opp or opb or macki. wish i had the money to blow that those guys do though. So far i've really havent come across a good cpu. Let me get a good cpu or wait till summer when chilly builds my phase unit and then ill really show you what i can do.

    I might add i have had a broad experience with abit boards and also a headstart ahead of most of you with my fatality so i know what the board likes and doesn't like. this board seems to have all the same quirks that my fatality had so it's easy for me to get around it. There is a thread somewhere on the forum about it. basically this board is exactly what i asked abit to make based on issues i had with my original fatality an8. whether or not they actually listened to me is a mystery though. all i know is i got what i asked for.

    tictac can you do me a favor and rip apart the an8 ultra bios and the fatality an8 bios. the damn board is identical so i see no reason why it cant support the higher voltages they all use the same chips even the sli board i have uses same chips..........unless the uguru chip has its own bios? or programming if so then how would i program it with the an8 ultra info. If i can get it to work i won't have to buy an an8 ultra also as for phase isnt gonna be good on this board with that cmos battery so close.

    heh thats bench stable only best i can do 110% stable is 2.4 gig prime stable for months and thats at 240fsb at 300 fsb i get prime crashes random sometimes in 1 hour sometimes in 6 hours sometimes in 36 hours. To further determine it was cpu i used dividers running memory at lower speeds and still failed prime. i think its or hope its heat related though. this claw just generates alot of heat Ocing with air is out of the question with this one.

    I know the memory is stable cuz i can loop memtest for days no errors so its got to be the cpu. did the same thing on 3 boards so far. and my 2 previous winnies even a cbbhd couldnt break 2.4 prime stable so far.

    anything over 250 fsb = prime errors and anything over 2.4 gig also = prime errors. hopefully eventually ill stumble on a good cpu so far im 3 for 3 now
    And yes I know prime isnt the god of all tests but I'm a pro alpha league gamer and cant afford to have any errors and or crashes while I am in a match even though i have never experienced one at 2.6gig. If prime fails than its not stable enough for me

    same sort of thing with OCAU and i4memory guys in Australia...most people use water cooling for them here

    i just found out we have a distrubutor for Gskill ram....sweet stuff.....i noticed they have PC4800 ram for AUD$350 inc.local taxes (~USD$260) never before was it remotely close to this....there's gonna be a lot more TCCD guys here now...besides corsair which doesn't reach gskill levels

    0444 3000+ cbbhd for me, doing 2630 @ 1.61v so far. 2650 made it through a pi32m run once, and I havent been able to do it again..

    neo2 though, so not really appicable to this thread

    yah f1 la models week 440 tend to like voltage i wouldnt dare try it with week 437 or le modules though they definitely don't like voltage.

    All AN8 series using same bios. uGuru Rom identified the board and decide which board can have 3.55V max & 2.8V max.

    Unfortunately this uGuru rom is encrypted by Abit... so no way i can dissambled/mod it.... sorry

    Well i have 4 boards here on test for reviews. 1 of them is the DFI SLI-DR and the other 1 is the ABIT AN8 Fatal1ty SLI and i can tell you that for stability the ABIT wins hands down....for board features the ABIT wins hands down......for bios options the ABIT bios is stable and is currently being worked on to include a number of options to the end user. I cant say much more about what if any options will be included because im under NDA....lets just say watch this space....

    The DFI is a great board....however from the technical test i have been carrying out, the DFI just LOST its place at the top. ABIT now takes its place.

    The board responds much faster, is more stable....oh hang on i allready said that and to top it all packs some neat groovy bling red LED's on the MOBO MOFO.

    ok so i lied my tccd had a little more left in it i forgot i was running tight timings so i loosened them up a tad and got this. The board and memory is 100% stable the cpu however as ive stated before is stable in everything except prime. ran prime for 3 hours then crashed.

    I might just order a gig kit of mushkin redline xp4000 as i found out my friends redline isnt 4000 speed rating. unfortunately i cant get it in 2x256 mb packaging seems to be available in 2x512mb sticks only :/ but for $200 its less than gskill.
