This is an edition of 256MB, according to foot location where the storing device reserves, NV intends to develop towards 512MB at the beginning.

    The back

Outside must be with 6Pin power, supply display card core use , the core, it is even power more consumptive to sell CPU more than most cities.

Person who store adopt particle , Samsung of GC16, particle of GC16 plain with ' difficult to exceed ' to claim in the past, but this batch of particles are still fine, still can go to speed (1.3G ) of 650

Strong GPU is hit out , 7800GTX appears , the core of this display card, really do the greater, see in the future channelling into 90 endure metric system after the Cheng , can narrow its volume .

Single a 7800GTX, power consumptive 169W of awaiting the opportune moment of the whole platform

Full-speed operation, the power consumptive hurricane reaches 291W, in fact in the course of testing, broken 300W of hurricane for a time .

so i guess the g70 is just a speed bump up? Granted speed bumps are nice, but i want new features! Isn't the SLI supposed to have 14x AA?

how many watts does the current 6800U need?

The entire system was drawing 291W.
The card alone will draw no more than 100W I think.

nice but the high power consumption is problamatic for many. 9k in 2005 with a good overclock isnt too shabby at all, this is higher than what many get in 2003!

LOL This is getting quite funny. When the 7800 Ultra comes out down the road, we'll all find out we were drooling at the comparative equivalent of a 6800GT

The real thing is the ULtra guys, 32 Pipes ...and specs finalized AFTER ATI releases its R520.

Do I want one? Yes. Will I buy one? No.

I want to know first and foremost: Did nVidia fix the cold throttle below 25c on these cards. I'm not gonna deal with that s**t again from them.

It is extremely unlikely that nVidia will release a 32 pipe 110nm card.

nVidia's 110nm experience is good, so, if they are countering the R520 (remains to be seen) they would almost definitely release a card with higher core speeds. The refresh of G70 on 90nm will be when nVidia would release a 32-pipe card, but that wouldn't be until late this year at the earliest.

Single slot cooler eh, nVidia is very friendly of massive 2 slots coolers so I think for sure that nVidia leave something on the backpack.

    Pure speculation anyway.

Are those scores in SLI or single card? If SLI then that is deeply dissapointing.

The Ultra typically carries the dual-slot cooling, right ?

Looking at the pics of the testbed I'm pretty sure it's just a single card.

Actually, one single gpu alone was drawing 169W and two of them were drawing 291W ... without cpu, board, etc. - with all those and an FX-55 oced to 3ghz, that's 500W quite easily for the entire system. So on phase/dice/ln2 we should be seeing 600W - 700W requirement on these. On dual core plus dual gpus ... dont ask

    Read the first post, man

It says that 1x7800GTX + OC scores 9K in '05 and that 2 of them in SLI + OC scores 13.xK in '05

Dissapointed? I've gotten used to it. The launches of Geforce 5800Ultra, DDR2, Prescott, the s775 / i9x5 platforms and many many other things have been forecast to be very very powerful and to shift the balance between Intel/AMD or nVidia/ATi, but have all failed to do so.

The 7800GTX may not beat the crap out of Macci's Xtreme X850-LN2-benching, but rest assured, if the 7800-cards can reach the X850-Phasechange-performance-level by simple oneslot air cooling, what can it not do under similar cooling?

Then we haven't really seen any gaming performance or how the 7800-series deals with serious large resolutions og antialiasing in games.

I, for one, remains optimistic, and i think that 7800Ultra will come and will be a very powerful card.
