    High Ballistix Overclocks

This ram seems pretty sweet and I hear it can do 285+ 1:1 at low timings. Anyone have any good overclocks?

TCCD seems to do better do me... except now Ballistix looks real attractive with BF2 and the 2*1gb ballistix seem to do better than all other 2*1Gb sets. Now those....

I've been hearing a fair bit so far about the BF2 demo...nice to see a bit of a shift starting...where people can no longer say that 512MB of ram is "enough" for gaming, and even 1GB is gonna be borderline for some games in the not to distant future.

arg, as if I'm not already gonna be spending enough on the case I'm building...now I wanna drop the cash on 2GB of ram.

This is a losing battle...might as well just hand over my wallet now.

    sniper86 could y post a screenshot of memtest in 285mhz 2.5-3-3-6 3.6v and 275mhz 2.5-2-2-5 3.4v . I seriously doubt y can go so far error free with 1T and agressive timings

Its just so damn expensive. I think I am going to get some Redline XP. Or maybe some Value VX. That ballistix sure is awesome though, I cant believe you did 300+ at 3.16v

Ballistix will vary, i had my set up to 266 @ 3-3-3-9 3V on a DAGF - sure i could have gone faster if i cooled it better. That set is out at the moment, and i have a new set sitting in dock. I'll have ot see how it clocks when i can... now where's that ddr booster of mine

I have a lot of screenshot with SPI 1M if you want. Now one of the two banks is dead
I can take the screenshot in memtest with the one bank that I have. The bank that is dead is the Bank1, the best bank

Someone online might sell me 2GB (2x1GB) for $100, he is selling each stick for around $50 so I asked for both for $100. I'm wondering, will overclocking 2GB as opposed to 1GB be more difficult? As long as its just two sticks it should be fine right?

    Hey uscfan,
Which model of 1GB x 2 did you buy and where? PC3200 or PC4000 ones? Please I'm interested in those sticks. Can you tell us how well they overclock?

    2 X 512 PC3200 Crucial Ballistix Week 47 Year 04

252x11 2.5-3-3-6 1t right now. Not prime tested, yet. (didn't pass)
    my Ram did:
    2-2-2-5 1t up to 207mhz 2.6 volts 3 1/2 hour Prime stable
    2.5-2-2-5 1t up to 245 mhz 2.7 volts PI stable, 3Dmark stable
    2.5-2-2-6 1t @ 250mhz 2.7 volts, Prime will error in about 2 hours, I need more volts
    2.5-3-3-6 1t @ 250mhz 2 hours Prime, 3dmarks, Pi stable.

I have a feeling the ram could do better with a little more volts and a better motherboard, but my board only goes to 2.7volts and my board won't let me do anything over 260X10. I have tried with some OCZ 4200 plat sticks and no test will pass at that setting with either sticks.

I know 2 hours and 21 minutes isn't exactly what some people call "stable" but when I can play Doom3, HL2 and other games for hours without crashing, thats stable enough for me.

Edit: it shows 2.8 volts in the Nvidia monitor but it's really 2.7

ouch, only 2.7v? i find my ballistix does best with 2.9-3v, so you probably just need more voltage

I know it kinda sucks. I would really like more than 2.7 to try and push the timings just a little more, but I have read and been told that the OCZ Booster doesn't work to well on my MB.

BTW, I edited my post above, my board won't let me do more than 260 x10, not 260 X 11.
