Well, last weekend finally there was some DI action for me...

The first time was very interesting, in fact, so much fun that I even forgot to run a single SuperPi 1M shot (3dmark wasn't in my program this time) Also, no camera home for me so no pics (although nothing spectacular to show anyway )

Mainly it was because I was aiming at the top score on a local benchmark, called Bootmark. Needless to say, I succeeded , and here is the screen of it, beating the previous top score, a 3 Ghz air cooled San Diego and Gskill TCCD by some 150 points:

However, as you might notice, I had a lot of problems as well (look at that pathetic memory frequency). The main unexpected thingy was the inability to boot to Windows at speeds of higher than 240 htt (and, if booting lower and using Clockgen, it also made system to freeze) for the first hour I fired the system up. Had even twice to clone Windows to completely naked OS, and then mysteriously just when I wanted to conclude a complete disaster for the evening, suddenly Clockgen didn't freeze the system anymore... although I had already disabled USB in bios, changed LDT to 2.0, played around with voltages like I never remember myself doing it previously.

Also, my VX had the same borders I discovered already back in February while still on Winchester cpu (~270 htt @3.6-3.8 Vdimm), so I had to use dividers to climb for higher cpu mhz (for 3000+ Mhz, you need at least 273 htt).

With this Sandy, I was able to post at 3360 Mhz @ 1.9 Vcore and even run the bios built in Memtest, however, in Windows the highest I could get with Clockgen was 285htt and 3138 Mhz @ 1.85Vcore, 180 divider, anything higher made the system to freeze.

Temps were around -37C to -34C in bios, Smartguardian in Windows measured ~212, that is, -44C, and load temps didn't change much so I guess the container was quite good.

Needless to say, I'm looking to more DI adventures ahead, as this first time was very interesting, and kept me for intense action from 8pm to 4am in the morning without any additional "steroids" like coffee or coca cola
