The whole structure of the BIOS is new, thus I do believe this is an official Venice/San Diego/X2 BIOS.

    But it is BETA.

    CD,
How did you get to that screen without mobo? Will this sstill use the same flash utility? Is the 1T/2T selectable now (for SD)?

    thx.

Used modbin6 in windows to view the bios layout. Yes, you can still use the same flash utility, and i believe 1T / 2T is selectable now.

As for the CPU multiplier issue, it is a BETA only remember, its the first beta release for a newly programmed (from scratch) bios...do you expect it to be perfect on the 1st attempt? There are also issues with selecting memory dividers higher than 200.

    On 1.7 & 1.8 primes large FTT failed 10 - 15 mins @2600MHz any Vcpu 1:1
could only get 24hr prime @2500

    But been running 2600MHz 1:1: for 1hr 26mins CPU-z core voltage 1.45V
    mem 1T 2.5 4 4 7

So its better but need time to test - Time for bed - its late

C how it primes and try for higher tomorrow is prime still running when home from work

    Edit typo

got it up and running using this bios along sd3700+. no multi, voltage option is limited to selectable numbers without the usual % increment, however is the bios reading/mbm is correct, it fluctuates terribly; ie. 1.65v bios set will only read 1.5v; 1.7v reads 1.55v. Not sure if this is a reading bug or anything, but i'm being careful and setting it to 1.65 bios just incase. Dont wanna fry my chip
    Testing continues........

I tried it with my system in my sig. System posted fine, so pressed DEL button to get into the BIOS and it froze on blinking cursor, so I restarted and same thing, I was like wtf? Then it said "CMOS Checksum error" I restarted my system like 50 more and once I was able to go into the BIOS. Men, this BIOS is not like v1.8 and lower, settings are in different places ect. Then I wanted to check PC Health, system read cpu temp. = 224C and then BIOS froze. This was the end of exploring new BIOS. Ok, now system recovery (because I could got further with system till system post) I flashed v1.36Mod in DOS, restarted, and my pc went crazy. Pc was beeping, beeping and beeping , I cleared CMOS twice after flashing and it did the trick. now system is back

FLASH THIS BIOS ONLY IF YOU HAVE SOME BALLS

Did that 3 times after 1.9b5 flash. It was the modded one. maybe the normal one could be fine. This BIOS isn't just stable yet on my system

btw, I flashed it with MIS's winflash, maybe I will try normal one not modded and flash it in DOS mode

Guys, i have a question to ask u, and u guys probably know beacause u guys are the experts.. Im using a 3700 San Diego with the Neo 2 platinum. For some reason when i try to turn on my computer, nothing is on my screen. There is only a green blinking light on my monitor, so i think ithe monitor is not getting any signal. I tried replacing the RAM with another stick that i know it works, i tried replacing the video card and the monitor, and still, i get that stupid black screen. I took it to the shop and they said they flashed the bios to the newest one ( wasnt sure if they were lying or not), but my system still isn't posting! what should i do??!?! im soo frustrated with my new system.. My system specs are listed below

SD and Venice are supposed to work with 1.36 and higher bios for MSI Neo2. I was running my Venice with the 1.5 bios and it worked fine, and it certainly works with the 1.8 bios. If they truly flashed the bios to the latest (1.8) then it should be working fine. How did they flash it if it doesn't turn on? Did they use another CPU while they were flashing? Maybe your chip is bad, unlikely though.

so Zeus, it seems slightly more overclockable so far? Hmm, will have to do some serious consideration about getting that DFI board or not...

    #20 .

I have allmost same prob as you until i found out that on neo2 boards the ram sticks must be placed Green-Purple not Green-Green

But i still got many issues with my neo2 plat. I run Super PI 1M on 45 sec's :o

And the cpu wont clock above 2300 MhZ , It isn't the cpu because i was at the shop 2day and i got a new cpu, Still the same prob.. :,(

In the weekend i try the cpu on a friends board. If it runs on he's board i'll send the mobo 2 RMA

Cpu 1.5volts (reported by CPU-z) failed in 1hr 16 mins

so will try at STD volts - after all could only get this Venice stable (prime 24hr) at 2500Mhz 1:1 with a CPU 1.3V (reported by CPU-z) anything above STD it failed

But it does seem to be more stable than 1.7 or 1.8 IMHO
