VIA Releases DOOM 3 Benchmarking Map & Demo
VIA Technologies, Inc, a leading innovator and developer of silicon chip technologies and PC platform solutions, today released viavga_d3_bench, a compact DOOM 3 multiplayer map crammed with heavy geometric detail and striking lighting effects designed to test PC system performance to the full. Built from the ground up to push today’s high-end systems into breaking a sweat, the map was developed by renowned mapper Josh ‘b0rg’ Holmes, the editor of VIA’s official games website VIA Gamers Arena, to offer a glimpse at what to expect from tomorrow’s games using DOOM 3 technology, the world’s most technically advanced PC gaming engine.

How exactly do u run it ? I tryed like it says in readme file and it wont do anything . May its because my Doom3 is not patched (V1.0) ?

"To run the demo, first download the map and unzip the included .pk4 file into your doom3/base directory. Then download the viavga_d3_bench_demo.zip file, unzip the demo file into your doom3/base/demo folder. If there is no demo folder in your base folder, create it and place the demo file in there. Then start DOOM 3, open the console and type:
Timedemo viavga_d3_bench
The demo will now run and when it finishes a frame rate score will be reported on screen. "
