Dothan @ 24/7 specs, low volts, low temps, low noise

    Here is a sweet spot.

    Pentium M 750, 10 x 276 = 2760mHz @ 1.57v
    Zalman 7700Cu @ Low Speed
    MUSHKIN HiPerf PC4400 @ DDR552, 1:1, 2.5-3-3 @ 2.95v
    ASUS P4C800E-Dlx/CT-479
GF2 GPU (got rid of all my decent AGP graphics)

and top speed for superPi 1M!!

Sub 26s for a silent desktop rig running low volts, low temps... nice.

    zalman piccage

huge, but well detailed. A bit sloppy fit, but works well. Idle temps 3c above ambient full load at 42C.

Can you run more benches with it? I'd love to see some Cinebench or some other stuff. 3D Marks if you can get a decent video card.

You can get a brand new one from ZipZoomFly for 323 bucks, after rebate of course and free 2 day!

Question charlie. Could you run those speeds with heatsink the adapter comes with? if so, what were temps in camparo to this Zalman? and damn, you get 5-6seconds better 1m then me at 4ghz =P

    The default HS/F idles at 38C, loads at 60C @ 1.55v...

This runs now at about 29-30c and loads up at about 38c. PLUS, now I can boot at 201fsb... which is good

I wonder how the AIW x800xt's clock??

Looks good Charlie. Did you at first have the zalman 7000cu on? And if so, how much of a temp. drop did you see going to 7700cu?
I was able to run some TCCD ram at 280mhz 2.5-3-3-7 on my 730 setup,....but had to use a 9x multiplier ......

charlie, does your NB cooling help your OC in any way, or is it "just in case..."?

Strange, newegg doesn't list the 750M. And who sells the adapter?

And charlie, how does the beast run a divider? Is it fully unlocked, thus rendering dividers next to useless?

    Is it "quirky"?

yeah sadly the Newegg does not carry 533fsb dothans... which is kind of stupid.

I did hear someone say Mwave carrys them?

I think one of the places that carry the adapter is Atacom.

i still am using my aopen 855gme board w/ dothan 400fsb part and my everyday setup gets me 29sec superPi@ 135 fsb@ 2.7gz. I'm more than happy with it.

Btw, nice bench you have there charlie... great job, as always!

Here are a couple of pics of a XP90C mounted on a CT479. I bent the holding arms with my hands and then attached the hsf. I did some measuring and calculating before I installed it. I was being careful of the core. I also took the shim off of the original hsf and put it on the processor. This is a 740 on P4C800E DLX.

My temps aren't near as good as Charlies. I'm idling at 50c @1.55v

Watch your contact...with these improvised cooling solutions, it's a real hit or miss thing. These CPU's run REALLY cool. Any word on the 1.55v++ issues?

Looking good. You use CPUMSR each time you boot up or is there some easier way to change the multi?

Well, 1.57v means idle temps of 30C, loaded under 40C... and around 25s SuperPi... your 3.75gHz Prescott does THAT?

With the vcore mod using the 50k vr along with the vid 4 pin mod, I'm able to get my vcore up to 1.62v. Perhaps more. I want to test it here for awhile.

Did you solder to pin8 or the correct capacitor? Do you know where the 1.62v came in? Meaning the number of ohms to change it to 1.62v??
