i'm from uk also and this will be the first chip i won't pre-order till prices drop. they are supposed to be only $580, right now that is £317, add on 50 for vat and that makes it £380 or so inc vat for the 4400+, its £100 overpriced right now for no apparent reason. First place in whole of europe i saw with it pre-ordered is a place in norway i think with these exact prices. that shop also had the first 3700+ pre-order in europe and at £290, its now £235 or so there inline with the rest of the world. I'm hoping, very much so, that places have simply taken these prices for now but will change when they are available. trust me, a LOTTA stores base pricing simply by checking other sites and making the price very similar and they aren't always right.

Remember taht VAT in Norway is 25%!!

X2 can be pre-ordered many places in Norway, but it's expensive!

Figured this would be a good place to post...

So are these basically 2xVenice or 2xSan Diego based on cache, ie 2MB total cache being the later, while 1MB total is Venice?

IF so, the 4400 would be 2x SanDiego 3700+ which is sechs, i want it

yeah, they're bad. They flat out lie about having Venice core to attract orders. It turns out that they didn't have it for another 2 weeks

Look, places like Newegg and Monarch who don't post pre orders will most likley have these in "actual stock" (like Newegg had the FX BN) before any of these pre order sites anyway.

Yes and Monarch ended up having it about 2-3 days, at most, before Newegg. I've learned from my preorder experience with San Diego. Don't bother preordering, just wait it out.

At any rate, since I now have San Diego it looks like I won't be going dual-core for some time, probably not until after Christmas.

I'm not sure I would place an order with a company with "Mystery" in it's title.

I know - nice little gouge going on - just have to sit this one out until the prices reflect true retail - bad stores
