well with BH-5 corsair 3500 4x256 dosent oc very well managed 220mhz 2226 3.3v vs 260mhz for two sticks
    2x512 will run ok at 255mhz 3.3v
2x512 and 2x256 is very unstable at all speeds i tried i dont know that 4x512 would run

Got about 3,1 GHz when I threw my Dotan 730 under my modded Prometeia Mach 2.

    Isulated, ready for the Prometeia.
    Running with the Prometeia.
    My Super PI result.

Can you tell us a bit more how you mounted that Prometeia?

I used the retention clips that followed the adapter, but it's something I wouldn't recommand. It's a tight fit and I chipped a bit of my core, but it's still working. Also cut a bit of the opposite corners of the housing of the avaperator to make the using of the retention clips possible. <- Bit scary looking he is.

found a funny thing over @ www.tualatin.de (a german forum)

Der Adapter ist jetzt da, ausgerechnet mein ECS P4IBASD-Ost-Europa-Nachbau (Mercury irgendwas...) frisst als einziges Board den C-M 320.
    translation and more informations:

his adapter came and he testet some boards with c-m 320. only his ECS-P4IBASD-board is running with the adapter, without any bios-modifikation
nobody really knows why but they think the ami-bios is the point.

Right now it's either 1.356V (unmodded) or 1.55V (u-wire mode). This sucks!
Come on, how bad can it suck? You're already at 2,860Mhz on air!!

It sucks because from my experience if the cpu is under load 24/7 (i.e folding). 1.55v can't be handled by the stock HSF. Temps fly in the +60C range. So until I develop a better cooling solution, I would rather lower the vcore to something like 1.45v and let it run at ~2.7G.
I like this Dothan and I'm trying to not destroy it too early.

Firefoxx please post your mod results. Thx

YES, gotta see if those shuttles actually work. some mods would be required with the cooling, but it may work, just not supported, like mobile amd chips in desktop sockets.

Anyone heard of problems with ES 533fsb chips??
    My 730ES acts like a 400fsb part. I am on P4C800E-Dlx and 1021.
At 165fsb, no matter the multi it will lock. I have Vcore @ 1.53, can't boot at 200 and can't OC there from clockgen, either.
Tried 400/533fsb JUMPER on ct-479, noticed NO difference... always boots at 533.

    Tried some overclocking yet?
Some others who have tried the CT-479 in non-Asus boards?

    thx

There is no FSB option in the BIOS, with CPUCool I can get 120 MHz 3:4 @ 1/3 PCI divider but 120 1/4 freezes. The board ignores the FSB jumpers @ CT-479. With a P4 2.66 160 MHz 1:1 (SD-RAM... ) were stable.

    That's boring.

Tested my Pentium M 730 on a friends Asus P4S800-MX, it bootet. I will try to install Windows and se how it does.

Didn't want to boot Windows XP nor the Windows XP installation, but Slackware Linux booted just fine.

Edit: Slackware runs like hell, but the motherboard only boots with 6x MP with the Pentium M 730. Threw my Celeron M 350 in who's locked with 13x MP and running 13x180MHz just fine. The board is using the Award BIOS.

i have a p4c800 dlx flashed to 1021.003. When i adjust the FSB with clockgen my agp/pci speeds move and don't appear to be locked. Is this an error or do I have a problem? Also i have a dothan 725(400fsb) and I set the jumper to 533...my multiplier seems to be locked at 12 even if i try to change it in the bios. Is there anyway to be sure that my agp/pci is locked?

It's the same on a p4p800 with bios 1021.003 if you set fsb to 133 and enable memory turbo the pci/agp lock does not work. I used the p4p800-e bios 1007.003 and this worked ok and i am told it will work on the p4c800 too.
Plus with the p4p800-e bios you can change the vcore.

If you boot at FSB 201Mhz, the AGP/PCI will stay locked.

Is there any way to lock the AGP/PCI when you use clockgen if you don't boot at fsb 200 ?

    Well I bought a P-M 750... to replace the B0 730...
Only question IS.... will I be able to boot @ 14 x 201=2814mhz @ 1.5v on AIR?? Obviously it'll be fine on phase change, but hopefully I can play with it on AIR, too.

boot? Probably. Load windows? I doubt it, but good luck.
