    PCMark04 WR: 9364 with A64 X2 4800+

Real quick test before the real action (3DMark05). 3233 MHz isn't the limit of the CPU but I should have spent more time tweaking the system, I think mobo/graphics card was holding us back. Radeon X850 XT PE running at default.

edit: ORB update and now it's offical: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?pcm04=2961306

I think we'll get more deep into this after I get back from Computex 2005.

Seriously though, good job. I can see the X2 chips potentially making the FX series into a lame duck.

Yes in PCMark04 which benefits ALOT from HyperThreading/SMP but in games which doesn't support HT/SMP FX-55 is the best choice.

But considering your clocks there are in the same ball park as phase cooled FX-55s there is potential there for them to tread on the FX series toes in general.

    LN2 or Dry Ice?

"The command and conquer model," said the EA CEO, "doesn't work. If you think you're going to buy a developer and put your name on the label... you're making a profound mistake."

Pic is taken before the tests. LN2 was used but like I said, I believe the CPU wasn't limiting factor.

I used 5/10 BIOS which had A64 X2 support and worked fine.
