    Watercooled WR?

I had to take my mobo out of the case, I had to use some serious airflow, but I think I've got the Watercooled WR for 3D'01 back infront of the Aircooled WR held by Kinc.

    39447

Does anyone know of anyone running a higher score on water than that? I want to make sure this time before I claim bragging rights

I just wish I could get my Car low a bit higher.

isn't that what we are all trying to do? Push limits. Not all of us have the means to go for the AMD FX55 on Phase change WR.

I had to go case-less, so it's a bit of a birds nest!

Sorry the images are so big, I've got no software to reduce them.

    Edit, Thanks Ben

I got round the naked chip mounting problem with some Blu-Tack.

I'm going to try to get another couple of hundred marks tonight. 40K would be nice, but not realistic.

No, I meant CPU and Vidcard cooled by water. Nice score, btw.

Thanks, a great deal of it is due to my vid card clocks, which I feel very lucky to get on water. I just wish I could get a Car low score something like yours. Although I re-run the test as many times as I can at the end with varying vid clocks, my best CL score still seems to be 20-30fps shy of some other peoples scores.

As long as we dont have a fps/$ ladder, its impossible to keep up for many of us.

You know very well that quite a few of the "old-school" gurus quit the game because it got too expensive to stay at the top...

    Damn nice water-score there!

    Love the birds-nest setup

40K is only about 600 points away but it seems to be to be a life time lol.

You need to have a cold night and get to it again. Hopefully you can have the cold air to reward you with better graphics card clocks. With a little luck you might get into the 39.6K range, which I hope you do.

Good luck anyways when you decide to bench again my friend

Well it won't be tonight, for some reason, my rig is now less stable than it was during the afternoon! It actually seems to have warned up somewhat from earlier on. It did take a great deal of effort to get to 39.4k, so I think I'll give it a rest for now.

Congrats on Watercooled Top Spot there

imho this "WR" thing is pretty much out of hand, everyone wants to have some kind of WR
    What's wrong with that?
I think its interesting to see WRs with different kind of cooling limits - aircooled, watercooled, all-out-cooled.
Getting #1 all-watercooled 3DMark2001 score is a very respectfull achievement - requires a lot of tweaking and know-how. I'd say that it takes a lot more than lets say getting a PCMark04 'WR' w/ hardware thats not even available yet

These '#1 sub 2320MHz, sub 210FSB, 256MB RAM, WinXP only, AGP2X mode, R9200SE 64MB' - type of WRs are where it indeed starts to get a bit silly
