    My mini cascade for vga.

Some pictures from the cascade i made yesterday for vga.
First stage compressor electrolux 1/8hp and second 1/3hp aspera. Both was for r134 and i filled them with r507 for test. It goes - 60 unloaded.
    Take a look.

    It works ok

I tested to my 660(112watt default) @ 4800,16125vcore @ 32mb superi and the cpu stays at -36. At 3200@1,385vcore under load stays at -48.
I will fill the second stage with r503 to see how it handles it.

    Bye

    nice buiding

the only thing i don't understand is why did you put your largest compressor in the second stage ? Most cascades run with a hige compressor on the first, and a less powerful in the second

Ya, never seen such a smaller compressor on 1st stage before. The bigger one should be one 1st stage.

The lack of insulation in pics on the suction line is scary...

Yeah, but even testing it without is somewhat scary.

no, with insulation you cannot find leaks and imperfections of the system...

Maybe in this case though it may be better to have bigger on low stage? Since he's on R507 he should prolly tune interstage to ~ -20c so that he can have a bit more decent pressure on low stage for good flow. -20C which the small compressor maybe handles no problem, then the bigger one on low stage to pull a bigger vaccuum to lower the boiling point. Whats the experts say on this?
