DDR-2 has 240 pins, and is designed to achieve higher clock frequencies.
its used currently on intel 925X boards.
the current DDR2 has poor timings, but should gradually get better as DDR1 has done over time.
cool thx bro
it is already better than DDR1 in intel systems.Originally Posted by Northwood
DDR2 will actually be quickly replaced by DDR3 in 2006/7 but as of yet, DDR1 is still king of low latency, inexpensive, high fsb and insane bandwith ram. DDR2 is opposite
Dont mind Xassius' view on DDR2 LOL He's one of XS DDR2 experts

hehe
DDR2 offers very high frquencies, and the latencies are lowering, on my intel rigs, ddr2 is better than bh5
you can find 400Mhz 3.2.2.8 in ddr2, that's way bettre than the 300 2.2.2.5 you can achieve with top quality ddr1, and frequencies are quicly increasing, now PQI will sell DDR2-1066, near three times faster than ddr1...
