Well we used a OCZ DDR Booster
But adjusting the 3.3 rail is ok though. The PSU most likely is protected. My enermax 465w stops at 3.75v at the 3.3v line. Above that value, it just shuts off. I didn't wanted to mod my PCP&C PSU because it is new and expensive. So I bought a DDR Booster.
If you raise the voltage slow it will not matter. The board can handle it. Within a second The Doctor (accidently) lowered the voltage of the DDR booster by 0.5v (single turn pot isn't a good idea, they should definately take that into reconsideration). The system crashed but everything lived. So if you use a multiturn pot on the Vsense line of your PSU, you can not kill anything unless you use an electrical screwdriver to turn the pot ^_^

. So I bought a DDR Booster.
