What makes you think this stuff is bh5-utt? Because old bh5 did better than ch5? Honestly, there's a huge amount things on those modules which affects overclockability, the chips are not the only one.

I think this is again a scenario where they can't tell (remember when OCZ VX hit the market)

Already 2 persons said it was 'new bh5', that is to say UTT-BH5 or RevB-UTT. But no one confirm it really, I'd like to get this clear.

I never saw anyone benching SPI 1M @ 277MHz dual1024. I think the best I saw was 272 or 273MHz, one with UTT-CH5 and the other with 'old BH5'.

What suprise me is that VX got UTT-CH5 and for now they're the best 512MB sticks with tight timmings. I wonder if finaly UTT-BH5 would not be better than UTT-CH5.
But for now we do not have enough facts and we do not know how selected those sticks were.

And whom these two persons might be?
And what might be their source?

One is Charlie the other I don't remember but I guess he only repeated since he do not have the sticks. Go back if you like

Anyway charlie probably got this from someone in mushkin but I'd to be sure, and removing HS won't help since UTT is remarked.

There is 5MHz more that I ever saw - out of the two other kit 1 is also better than the best VX. Mushkin seams to take a different move than OCZ or GSkill, who both use UTT-BH5 @ 200SPD and OCZ prefer UTT-CH5 for 250SPD

I used to think that UTT-CH5 would go higher than UTT-BH5 now I'm not sure of that. And even if 512MB UTT-CH5 sticks where never selected by user really arshly, 2x256 are still beating them at SPI, those 5MHz are still important.

With OCZ, GSkill and now Mushkin using the same ICs (new BH or CH) and PCB the only unique thing that Mushkin (or the others that follow) can bring to the table is the way they bin and their price points. If the reason Mushkin is taking a little more time to get to market is because they are taking more care in the way they bin and not because they aren't on top of breaking news in the enthusiasts market, then hopefully the net result is better performance than their rivals. If the extra time and care means more expense which results in slightly higher prices than their rivals, that may not be a problem for Muskin because OC'er will pay premiums for even tiny performance gains. I've noticed most of the posts are related to performance and how to find them. Very little mention of price.

No, I don't KNOW what the Redlines are... never removed the spreaders. I said my old Mushkin BLUES were UTT-BH5...
