    #1 6600GT in '01, ALL AIR!! - CrazyPC.ro Team

    30994

    DFI NF4
    A64 4000+ @ 2.98Ghz, SLK 948U + 80mm Delta EHE
    2X512MB XMS3500C2 (BH5) @ 271 1.5-2-2-3
    2X6600GT SLI @ 635/1400 stock cooling
    Hiper 425W

Air only , the graphic cards are even using stock cooling. The next runs will be on water + ice, one card already finished a 700/1425 pass through '01 for a 29597 score, the other one can do similar clocks but we are having some problems using waterblocks for SLI on the DFI.

You can find the full story at CrazyPC.ro (romanian).

Very nice score. I can see SLI actually lowers your score in many game tests except for nature and both dragons. If you can get ahold of win2k, itll help big, especially in beating my 2.6GHz winchester in car high very nice cpu clocks, looks like a fx55 in disguise

Yeah, good CPU and cold air . In fact, the air was so cold and the SLK947+Delta so good that the water+ice barely matched it.

Hehe nice score! You took out my #1 score I made with my single 6600GT, I think I'll have to try benching SLI in 01 now

Looks like it will be a 3 way battle between gocchin, Team Turkey ( inc Brandybuck) and youselves.

Very nice score ! You'll need the water once you start volt modding I think.

At this rate I am going to be off the front page soon I'm just waiting though until things "mature"

There is for a single 6600 and this would help him in breaking records. I wonder if theres a way to mod to make win2k work with sli drivers

There's two ways to skin a cat in this class at present, you either go for

    a) a really good single card and highly overclocked Fx-55 on phase

    b) less good SLi and less highly overclocked AMD 64 cpu maybe on air or water.

For the latter b) gets to the top scores by massive drag low and nature.

However it seems like gocchin is going to do SLi and might phase SLi. So my bets are on him.

It does seem however that mid range benching is now getting as expensive as the the top end. Just to compete, at present, I would have to get a phase change system, a new psu, a new motherboard and two new cards ..which in the Uk is £1100 or $2000.

Or I'll wait and bench 6600 and 6200 in the meantime.

    Regards

    Andy

Yours was a hard score to beat, i can't wait to see some SLI benching with that FX-55 . The CPU is our main drawback at the moment, hopefully we will get something better than just air/water on it .

zakelwe your bet is on i'm going to enjoy this ... uhm this piece of copper looks about right for a dual LN2 container :p

gocchin if you play with your SLI setup, we have to get to the next level of CPU cooling, sounds like fun.

Nice BH5. Does the 1GB help for benching? I jsut got hold of a good 512mb kit, wondering whether I should invest into some Twinmos BH5
In short, both AMD and NVIDIA discovered that their next-generation graphics cards are superior to each others' last-generation graphics cards.

1GB doesn't really help, but it was one of the best memory kits we had.
