    Stainless Steel Flex hose?

Does anyone know where I could buy like 25ft or more of just the bare SS Flex hose 3/8" or so, like what is used on the Prommy.. I have been using the SS gas appliance hoses that Lowes and Homedepot sales, but was wondering if there is any place that sales the stuff in a large role without the flare ends? I have googled the net with no luck, any help is appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

I can sell it to ya. I can get it w/ the brade too. The stuff i get and use has been tested and works well. It's designed to work for applications like this. 82psi w/ the brade i think and 1500psi w/ the brade.

PM me if you can't source it.
I like building Vapor phase coolers......

sounds like the same stuff everyone gets. 100BAR they told me
one thing when not using the braid do ppl think that 82PSI is ok to use
its double the price but it worth it personally using the braid and wont stretch.

Look in the yellow pages under tubing. I purchased some 1/4" stuff - real small like the Vapo-chill - and got it out of Houston! I'll guarantee the material is just next door to you!

    Cheers!

John Stone Supply sells it. Beware though, in big bold letters, it states you must certified to buy.

By certified, does that mean EPA 608 or 609? If so thats not a problem... I didnt think johnstone supply would sell to the public, atleast the one here it town will not, wholesale only....

It didn't state what certification. I am guessing EPA 608. The one in my town, just ask for my name to put on the account. It doesn't really matter, I have my certs and a company name if they ask. Just tell them your the soul proprietor or you just started a business, should be all good.

I just seen a spool of steel flexi line in their catalog and thought I would post.

You don't need to be certified to buy corrugated or convoluted stainless steel tubing.

Apparently you do at John Stone Supply. I think it's a 100' roll. If you have a JSS catalog look it up.

The stainless hose that is the gas supply connectors is "corrugated". Pay attention to how the "groove" in the steel is continuous and "spirals".

The 1/4" tubing on the vapo, however.... each groove or "rib" in the tubing is an individual and seperate from the other "expansions" in the tubing (which give it it's flexibility). This is referred to as "convoluted".

    Cheers!

Sorry to butt in on this thread but would this hose be any good for a suction line?

OK if you go somewhere else besides JSS, you probably won't need to be certified to get it. All I am saying is in there catalog this is what is stated.

It just happened to be the only place I had seen it advertised.

The hose you are refering to is only rated down to -20°C, so if your going lower than that, I would say find another hose.
